During this election season, the issue of religion has come up on many occasions. But for the most part, we haven’t heard from many pastors—except, for example, from the brave priest from Indiana, with his denunciation against the Obama administration’s move to force Catholic agencies to fund contraceptives and abortifacients against their consciences.

Another outspoken minister has been Dr. Robert Jeffress of Dallas, who was castigated about half a year ago for stating he preferred a Christian politician to a Mormon one. He was simply quoting founding father John Jay, first Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, who said, “Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers” (October 12, 1816). First Chief Justice or not, one of only three authors of The Federalist Papers or no—that’s too politically correct to say nowadays.

Many of the controversial issues of our day, such as abortion and marriage, have become political. But in reality, they are simply moral issues that have changed into political ones. SOURCE Go to the source to read the remainder of the article.

That’s a good question. Where are the bold pastors, ministers? Why do we not hear from them as our society changes and goes quickly into the gutter? Why do we not hear from them as Christians are ridiculed and attacked on media and made to look like a joke?

There are a few good ministers left. But I believe it’s less than 10% and they are not the ones being given media attention. What we are stuck with are the ones that the devil wants the world to see….the criminals who fleece the flock, rape women and children, steal from the congregation, purchase $16,000 dogs and marble toilet seats. That’s what the world sees. More and more, the devil is setting up his “ministers” and they are weak wristed, panty waisted wimps who stand for nothing.

Where have all the bold pastors gone? Good question. The devil has sent them into hiding.

  1. Lynn, this is a great article! I wrote about this the other day. Moses or Aaron, that’s where we are. Aaron gave the people what they wanted but Moses kept them in check- you have to be rooted in God to stand firm in the face of opposition and to tell folks that the Word of God has absolutely nothing to do with your feelings. God is supreme, we are not therefore we should govern ourselves accordingly.

  2. Lynn, I really believe that the really bold and decent pastors are still around. It’s just that they seem to be overshadowed by the media savvy, attention-whoring charlatans, pulpit pimps, and pedo-pervs. The real John the Baptist types are still out there proclaiming Christ and Him crucified. I believe that God has them hidden and the only way to find them is through God given discernment of the Holy Spirit.

  3. The way to find the true pastors is by strictly following the Job qualification given by GOD in 1 tim 3 and Titus 1. Secondly by screening the individual who passes the qualification exam of 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1 with the Job description of 1 Tim 4 ( which lays out no less than 12 distinct descriptions.) But people only SAY they want a strong bible based pastor, because is they followed the bible most would walk out of their church and never return. To follow the bible would be no more Rev. Jesse, Rev Sharpton, no more Paula White, Fred Price etc. I’ll just quit the list is too long. You don’t really want a strong bible based pastor. Tell you what. Write out by hand 1 Tim 3 :1-7 and then compare your pastor. Does He stick to the page or roll off. If your pastor is a women don’t waste the time studying I will tell you now you are deceived. If he is not biblical will you leave or will you come up with another excuse to disobey God?? cryloudsparenot
