From the Daily Beast to the recently beaten up pervert, Perez Hilton, the buzz throughout the internet is that Michael Jackson’s funeral will cost fans $25 to attend and that tee shirts, etc. will be sold there.
#1 – His funeral will be PRIVATE with family only and a few close friends. Let’s get that straight first!
#2 – What the fans will attend is a MEMORIAL, not a funeral. And I have not heard anything official from the family saying that they will charge. If they do charge, I think it’s tacky….or maybe not.
Truth is, there is a price to pay to rent out the Staples Center and it ain’t cheap. If the fans do not pay, the family will have to incur that cost.
In any event, until I hear something official from an authentic media source or from a family member, I have no further comment on this.
Gossip sites and various media are peeing on a man’s grave. Sad.

Rumors began flying here as well that there was going to be a fee for his memorial service. Honestly, I was silently hoping that was not going to be the case and was thrilled when I found that it was not to be so.
I really hope and pray that it will be peaceful and respectful and that those who do not have tickets to get in really take the advice of law enforcement and stay home and watch it on television.
His life has been scarred by enough negativity – he doesn’t need anything else to add to it.
Tickets are by lottery. Send him out in style.
