Is it your business or my business who a person chooses to date or marry?

Diva reported recently the tragic story of a white marine and his black wife who were allegedly murdered by a group of black marines. Their MySpace pages even had references to the planned murders. LINK

It was clear that those black marines took it upon themselves to rape that black woman and murder her white husband strictly on race. It was none of their business that they were in an interracial marriage. They were/are insane. They are losers.

There is another case in progress in New York. A white teenager named Brian Milligan, Jr. was called racial names and finally attacked and beaten by a group of black teenagers. Why? He believes it happened because he is a white boy dating a black girl.

His father wants this case treated as a hate crime:

Armed with a chunk of concrete, several assailants beat Brian Milligan Jr. on the back of the head on August 18, leaving a 3-inch gash. They kicked him in the face, breaking his jaw.

Bloodied and bruised, the 18-year-old managed to walk five blocks to his grandmother’s house before being rushed to the hospital.

Milligan’s father believes several African-Americans beat his son, who is white, because he is dating an African-American woman. He wants police to treat the beating as a hate crime. He also has criticized what he calls a deafening silence from the community, police and the national media.

“If this was a black guy who was beaten by a group of white guys for dating a white girl, people would be up in arms,” he said. “There’s a double standard.”

Do you all agree that there is a double standard? I believe the father may have a point.

  1. i believe it should be…he was treated this way because he was white and she was black, vice versa would have been the same way…This man has taught his child to love everyone and had no issue with him dating this black young lady and he is going to be beaten for it…What is good for the goose is good for the gander…I am sick of people thinking they can put their hands on someone because they don’t agree with them or their lifestyle.

  2. Agree with you 100% Oregon. Love is hard to find. I hope that certain segments of the black male community is not planning to start attacking black women for making alternate choices. If so, we have a situation on our hands.

  3. I agree with you both. I don’t know what is going on with NY lately. Granted this happened upstate in Buffalo, but in Suffolk County, there had been several hate crimes that prompted legislators to form a Hate Crimes Task Force. It seems we may have to do this statewide. And I agree just because people of color are the perpetrators does not mean we should treat them with kid gloves. Wrong is WRONG! Period.

  4. and black men have been dating and married white women for years, and now want to have something to say about it…In Oregon more than 50% were married to white women, even our man Van Jones, Mr Greenpeace’s wife is caucasian; just thought I would throw that in:)

  5. I don’t know if we have enough of these cases to call double standard. However, it is the painful legacy of whites attacking blacks that paved the way for hate crimes legislation.
As for black men getting upset with white men/black women, now that is the double sstandard.

Kind of sad seing this, I don’t why people who contradict themselves seem to always become violent. It should be a hate crime, he was beaten for being white, and dating a black girl, this kind of thing is archaic and full of hatred.
