Just when you think that ignorance has reached its rock bottom, something happens to remind you that ignorance has no limit, no ethics, no mercy. The inner cities are patrolled by ignorance and ignorance is their worst enemy. Ignorance keeps the inner cities poor, uneducated, downtrodden and in many ways, victimized.
A woman in Arizona was recently kidnapped, burned and branded for reporting a couple to a child protection agency. In retaliation, the couple hired two thugs to attack her: LINK
I’ve been absolutely appalled at the recent news reports about the “no snitching” t-shirts and hats that brazen criminals are wearing to intimidate a community of people who are powerless and in many ways, vulnerable to every wind and doctrine that blows through. Link Link
What’s even more appalling, however, are the multi-millionaire “rappers” and “hip-hop” artists who encourage and support the “no snitching” insanity. Those artists do not live in the inner cities and have no authentic ties [anymore, at least] to the inner cities. They live on Park Avenue, in Palm Beach, in Beverly Hills and they drive cars that most people can only dream of owning. Their yearly “dress in white” parties in the Hamptons make the society pages. They party hard and lavishly on Yachts that they either own or rent. They have live-in housekeepers and nannies. Don’t be deceived by the videos in which they play the role of the “hard” criminal. Those guys and gals are living large.
Juxtapose the lifestyle of the wealthy rappers, in comparison to the lifestyle of the inner city person. While the rapper and his bodyguards are tucked away safely in their gated communities, the inner city person lives in the direct line of fire on a daily basis—yet is told not to “snitch” on those who are running roughshod over their neighborhood, selling drugs to children and murdering everything that stands in their way. To say that it’s egregious that the rappers are telling them not to “snitch” is putting it lightly. If criminals are never made to account for their crimes, how will the crime rates ever decrease and communities cleaned? In short, how will the “no snitching” neighborhoods ever pull up out of the muck and mire?
Since when has reporting a crime amounted to snitching? There is a huge difference between reporting a crime and snitching. A crime is an illegal thing and should be reported. Reporting a crime is a good thing. Snitching is when a child tells her mother that it was her brother who took the last cookie from the cookie jar. Another example of snitching is when someone does a good thing (such as report a crime) and a rogue reports that person to dangerous criminals, knowing the criminals will hurt or kill the informant. In such a case, the rogue was the snitch.
The video below is a perfect example of the sad and blatant intimidation that inner city citizens are subjected to by criminals who don’t want them to inform police of crimes. How famous, wealthy artists can go along with this travesty of justice simply shocks the conscious of those of us who are fortunate enough to have a conscience.
Warning. The video below contains vulgar, ignorant gutter language:YoutubeVideo
