For the past three years the Cosmi Corporation has had an offensive reference in their typing software in which the word “nigger” was clearly used.This mess went on for THREE years. Finally, a black woman called to complain. They ignored her until she alerted the press.

So they think that adding a patch/fix and issuing an apology, which this woman has not even received makes it alright. How about addressing the issue of this being in the software in the first place. Saying you’re sorry in this case only means to me that they are sorry that someone caught on to it.
So true. They should apologize to everyone who has purchased the software and to the public as well. I too wondered how the word wound up in the software to begin with. Of course that was never addressed just like they never contacted the woman who complained with their half baked apology.
