One of the signs of a healthy blog is when tipsters get involved and care enough to send in tips. I would like to pause for a second to thank my tipsters who send me story tips and ideas as they run across them.

I’m pretty good at spotting stories, but I cannot be in all places at all times. You all are truly a God-send when you help me out with those tips, believe me!

I’ll go as far as to say that HickTowners are the best tipsters on the internet. Not every tip will make it into the blog but don’t concern yourself with that. Keep sending them anyway because the majority of tips do end up here.

If you send me a tip that is an exclusive—meaning I’m the first blogger to break the story, you are guaranteed to have the story posted with your user name attached as the one who gave me the “hat tip”.

It’s perfectly okay if you are only a lurker. My regular readers who only lurk are just as much HickTowners as those who come in and sign. In fact, 50% of my tips come from regular readers who only read and choose for whatever reason not to sign.

KEEP THE TIPS COMING! Doing so ensures that we maintain our place as the most interesting, newsworthy, funny and entertaining spot in the blogosphere!
