Terry Mahoney
It’s tough being a political wife. For one thing, if the husband engages in humiliating behavior, the wife is expected to “stand by your man” through thick and thin.
So pitiful to see the wives standing by their husbands as they offer up fake apologies on national news.
Well, one wife has decided not to go along with the game and for that, I give her two thumbs up. Congressman Tim Mahoney is a philanderer who paid his former mistress a whopping $121,000 to shut her up and settle a sexual harassment lawsuit.
To his wife’s credit, she decided not to dance, engage in fake smiles for the camera and share in his nonsense. She filed for a divorce against him. For those familiar with scripture, adultery is grounds for a divorce. There is a disease out here called AIDS and there is no cure for it so I personally don’t blame women who leave disrespectful womanizers. Cheating these days can and often does lead to a death sentence to the innocent one who was cheated on. ![]()
Tim Mahoney & mistress
One month after Tim Mahoney’s wife filed for divorce, the philandering congressman asked for a second chance.
Mahoney filed paperwork on Friday asking for a temporary halt to his divorce.
Mahoney’s wife filed for divorce just days after he admitted he had an affair.
In the motion filed, Mahoney states that the marriage to Terry Mahoney can be reconciled and restored. The paperwork showed that Mahoney seeks entry of a court order directing the parties to consult with a marriage counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, priest, rabbi or any other person deemed qualified by the court and acceptable to the parties.
I have a feeling that the real reason he wants to hault this divorce is strictly due to financial considerations.

Oh, and by the way…he lost his re-election bid so he’s out of a job. Poetic justice indeed. Hats off to the intelligent voters in Florida who ousted this bum.

Good for her! It’s about time spouses quit taking this stuff. I can forgive one mistake but not serial adultery.
Good for her. I am stilly trying to figure out why Silda Spitzer is still with that scumbag, Eliot Spitzer.
That is the million dollar question blackpolitical.
Hopefully her strength will help other women understand that you don’t have to “stand by your man” when he is putting your life at risk via sex with nasty women and disrespecting you.
Go Terry Go! Literally-Glad to see her take care of herself and show her twenty-something daughter that there comes a time when you must stand up for yourself and draw that line that no one is allowed to cross. He has humiliated her and didn’t seem the least bit sincere when he was first televised making his political apology. Now, that she has let him know that she is well aware of his hidden money and financial interests, he believes the marriage can be salvaged. Mighty suspicious turn of events on his part-whatever she decides to do is ultimately her decision but its good to see her take a stance and recognize that you don’t have to take that kind of mess. Hope she carefully and prayerfully considers her future…..her life literally is at stake-(how he could put her health at risk is simply disrespectful to both her and their child)
So many political wives, church wives and regular wives remain in these unfaithful marriages. Some for financial reasons, some for love. I have my dignity, thank God, and would not want to stand by his side after such nonsense and degradation and possibly death.
Female pastors who go thru this aren’t seen as disciples but weak in the pulpit by many. Juanita Bynum just knew she was going to talk her way out of the drama in her marriage. No one blamed her for being beat but they surely turned on her when more info came out about her relationship with her husband. I hope she saved a lot of her money because much of the public are turning on these churches now.
My pastor said church membership is declining all across the U.S. Yes, you may see some churches growing but that doesn’t make up for all the others who are losing members. Religion is becoming irrelevent in people’s lives and they’re not going to church or raising their children in church, hence the next generation doesn’t feel any need to attend church.
This is the result of bad theology and the “pastors” in the pulpit spitting it out.
I’ve read where the churches in Europe are empty and look at the moral decline over there.
