The one thing I kept looking for in this discussion is the publishing dates of both the book and the article. Although the article was published 2 weeks before the book, I do know that a book goes through manuscripting, proof-reading, editing, pre-publishing printing and printing before public sales. It would be difficult for someone to copy and modify material, then have it printed and published in the difference of 2 weeks.
