Okay, I need to sit down and just take a deep breath. As you all know, my assistant, Deputy Diva has been covering Sherri Shepherd. Initially, I was going to send this tip to Diva but I am afraid she might pass out after seeing this one so I decided to cover it myself.
Okay….for starters, I’m not really familiar with Sherri Shepherd, other than knowing that she now appears on The View—which I do not watch.
Deputy Diva has blogged about Sherri here and here in the past.
Well I just received a hat tip from Hicktowner, 2thehilt telling me to check out Ms. Shepherd’s latest antics. She has either put or at a minimum, allowed—a girl’s hairstyle on her little boy. And it’s a Shirley Temple hairstyle at that!
Hicktowners, check this nonsense out and tell me this woman is not straight up ghetto fabulous! If an adult wants to wear outlandish hairstyles, fine. But why put a child through that, knowing the child could be teased and taunted by peers? She needs to take that mess out of that child’s head posthaste!

I think we have pretty much established that Sis Sherri is pitful! Poor baby, and she should be careful because I think he is a special needs child, he doesn’t need the media all over him.
Lynn I thank you for posting this. I did see the picture and was in the process of posting on this, but the storm in our area rendered me without internet and phone service yesterday (I still don’t have any service).
This is a disgrace and I said the same thing when I saw it. It is one thing if you want to be a buffoon, but why drag your child into it. And I am trying to find out what her on-air comments were about her husband’s child outside their marriage, but either way, she really needed to be tending to her own son and not worried about the other little boy, whose mother has reportedly asked her repeatedly to please stop discussing her son on the air.
What makes me laugh though is the “born again Christian” must not have read the scriptures that speak against men dressing as women, etc. Bozo the Clown indeed.

I thought at first that Me93 was being facetious in saying that Sherri Shepard’s son was a special needs child. A friend of mine who regularly watches The View just informed me that Sherri always talks about the boys ‘problems’ and he indeed has some sort of ’special needs’ and is possibly Austistic. That being the case, this is all the more reason why she needs to stop the Tom Foolery already by setting her son up for additional ridicule with that feminine hairstyle.
Oh no Diva, I wouldn’t joke about that! and I wasn’t laughing at the child, cause like I said Mama Lynn had me laughing BEFORE I looked at the picture, it’s funny to me that “Sis” Sherri continues to degrade herself and be a public spectacle.
PS–I never post anything in disrespect for Hicktown, Mama Lynn(cause I know betta), or any of the contributors. You guys do a great job and I enjoy being a resident of Hicktown.

LOL. I love it Destiny. And I hear you Me93. I didn’t think you meant any harm, but was really surprised when I heard that this boy has ’special needs.’ As if he doesn’t go through enough in life already to have to be walking around and appear in the press to boot with Shirley Temple curls. smh
