While working at his next job at a consumer electronics company, the “eureka moment” suddenly hit: What if products could walk and talk on their own? You could design a completely different kind of warehouse. And you could staff it with robots.
This robot does factory and warehouse work:
This robot will get you a beer and cook you a meal:
This robot guards prisons:
This robot will fight your battles for you. PRESS HERE
I could go on and on. This is NOT good news, everyone. How long before robots are teaching classes, performing operations and defending people in court?
How many jobs, exactly will these robots take from citizens? Some of you are thinking that this won’t go far because it’s cost prohibitive. Actually computers were initially cost prohibitive, weren’t they? And now almost everyone has one.
One more thing. I mentioned that there is a robot that will fight real battles in real wars. That’s a good thing, right? It will save lives. Well, therein lies the rub. Throw in some positive things that the robot can do and that will justify all the negatives…such as eliminating thousands and eventually millions of jobs that humans could be doing. Don’t believe the hype. Robots pose a clear and present danger to jobs.
