“Rev.” Alonzo McCowan and “First Lady” Kimberly Ann Oglesby McCowan Arrested
OUCH! Can you imagine being an adult, supposed Christian and you find yourself with handcuffs? I would be humiliated.
“Rev.” Alonzo McCowan and his wife, Kimberly Ann Oglesby McCowan were both arrested, charged with theft from an elderly person, money laundering and grand theft.
According to reports, an elderly man turned over his home to them and he did not get paid. WHERE are the families of these elderly people? Their families need to protect them! Wolves abound.
The Camarillo couple allegedly got now-86-year-old Leo Gilmond to sign over the deed to his Ventura house, saying the church needed a rental for church dignitaries and students. Gilmond wasn’t paid the promised $460,000.

Why the quotation marks around “Rev.?” Does this mean you presume that there is no need for a trial? (And no, I am not a parishioner, nor do I live in the community–just befuddled over trigger-happy Christians.
(I was tempted to use quotes for “Christians.”)
That’s crazy. Ouch is right. They knew that was wicked. How on earth can anyone steal from the elderly and poor? Now if he gave his house in a will after he was cold and in the ground that’s one thing, but to take like this is beyond wrong.
Dave…uh, you are angry at the wrong folks. No one here in Hicktown is accused of swindling an 86 year old, okay?
Whew!
Well “Dave” the so-called “Rev” needs to be put on blast ,especially . when they swindle people like a vulnerable 86 yo man . God gives exress rules for being a messenger to his people. Here are a few examples:
1 Timothy 3:1
This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
1 Timothy 3:2
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
Titus 1:7
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
God also gives us warnings about illicit “Rev’s” such as:
2Thessalonians:
28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (sounds like the good “Rev” didn’t take heed to this)
He also says :
33I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel. (The 86 yo mans home sounds like the “Rev” coveted it).
If it weren’t for folks like Lynn (and other bloggers I keep up with), folks wouldn’t know about these individuals who use their position of authority to abuse their congregations.People like you who question trigger happy”Christians” should pick up the bible and read for yourselves. Do you get upset when you hear about anyone abusing their authority to swindle people like those in government ,teaching, social services positions? These individuals are in positions where TRUST is paramont. Whats the difference?
I guess my post was not sterile enough.
What a witness–sacrifice authenticity in order to look good.
LYNN’s RESPONSE: If I agreed with you, would that be enough to keep you out of this blog?
Hicktowners, this is the type of garbage I have to put up with.
If I DARE to report the news (which I CLEARLY picked up from a newspaper) they don’t contact the news agency; instead, they come here and go after me.
Also, they don’t go after the accused. They go after the one who simply reported the news.
Now you see why I ban them out of here.
Sad. Christians hating Christians all over the place.
And this is being pro-life?
