I don’t particularly care for the music of Lyfe Jennings. I did admire the fact that though that he appeared to have turned his life around following a 10 year stint in jail for arson. Apparently, he still has a ways to go in terms of being rehabilitated.
Jennings, 30, whose real name is Chester Jennings, kicked in the door of a residence on Springwoods Drive in Smyrna while looking for Joy Pound, according to an arrest warrant. He fired the gun in the street and later tried to run from the Smyrna police when they arrived, police said.
He posted a $50,000 bond Monday night. Jennings could not be reached for comment. In addition to the gun charges and trespassing, he has been charged with eluding police and driving under the influence. SOURCE
Jennings attempted to flee in his red Corvette and a police chase ensued resulting in Jennings’ apprehension. Jennings also refused a sobriety test.

It’s just not enough to be young and successful, you just have to go and mess it up. Another strike for Mr. Jennings.
Hard to spend those royalties when you’re in jail. You’d think 10 years would’ve have impressed upon him the importance of good decision making.

I guess old habits die hard. What a shame. This young man got a chance to rehabilitate himself and turn his life around and he still chose to run with the same crowd. This won’t be the last we’ll hear of him. What a shame.
