Randy White, Show Me the Money, Please!

As the “report cards” come in, it looks like while Creflo may actually receive a passing grade in terms of at least being able to account for the money, Randy White is failing miserably!

Randy White stood before the congregation of Without Walls International Church and fretted about paying the $38,000 power bill, just one of many bills coming due.

Speaking at a Sunday service in late October, the co-founder of the embattled megachurch said he would tally the weekend’s offerings and decide which to pay.

He urged those in the sanctuary to give all they could.

STOP! Back alllllllllll the way up. Are you telling me that in spite of how popular and HUGE that church is, they cannot cough up $38,000? WHERE has all that money gone? Are they so incompetent that they have squandered all that money?

SENATE PROBE, please! Somebody needs to cough up some answers quick and in a hurry!

The most potentially damaging news came last week when U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, challenged the ministry’s nonprofit status and the Whites’ lavish lifestyle. He requested detailed financial information on their expensive homes, cars, private jet and plastic surgeries. They have until Dec. 6 to comply.

You know what? If they cannot come up with $38,000, which should be a drop in the bucket for them, then they actually DO need to lose their nonprofit status because something is horribly wrong here.

In the meantime, congregants are leaving and the offering baskets don’t overflow like they used to.

In the church’s heyday two years ago, those who didn’t come early could expect to watch the 11 a.m. Sunday service from a television monitor in the lobby.

Today, latecomers find ample space in the cavernous sanctuary. At recent Sunday morning and evening services, worshippers barely filled half the seats.

Good! I’m happy that the people had the good sense to cut out of there. They were tricked and bamboozled into believing that they were sitting under a happy couple with an intact marriage, only to discover that the “happy couple” were in fact perpetrating a fraud. Christians are tired of being subjected to smoke and mirrors.

Look at some of the mess that Paula and Randy had gotten themselves into:

In May, the Tribune published several stories about financial and legal troubles at the church, which reported a revenue of nearly $40 million in 2006. Along with facing at least five lawsuits stemming mostly from unpaid bills since 2000, the Whites borrowed $170,000 from an elderly widow in 1995 and did not keep promises to care for her or pay it back. The church also failed to give a home to a single mother who believed she won it in a 2002 church-sponsored contest.

The Whites have since paid back the widow and bought the mother a home.

The congregation weathered the allegations of financial mismanagement with minimal fallout, members said.

But the Whites’ divorce dealt a blow. The split severed the spiritual bond of the pastoral union, Bishop Randy and Pastor Paula.

If Randy and Paula would sell some of their baubles, maybe they would be able to cough up money to pay the church bills:

Randy fashioned himself as the rock-star church CEO. He regularly preaches in jeans and designer shirts, and over the years he has driven a fleet of exotic luxury cars, most recently a Bentley convertible.

Some wonder whether the church can survive without Paula, who has a $3.5 million condominium in New York’s Trump Tower and recently purchased a $681,000 home in San Antonio, Texas.

Lynn I cant keep up with these posts. The walls are coming down at the Church Without Walls(That sounds funny). First the newpaper reports, then the divorce, and now unpaid bills. I guess he is to selfish to sell one of his many cars and pay the bills. But like you said,”SHOW ME THE MONEY”(AND WE NEED RECIPTS). Hey, has anyone heard from T.D Jakes, he did receive a Bentley from the church, the least he could do is throw down a couple thousand for friends in want…. oh sorry, friend in need.

This is crazy and stupid. He basically had to beg the people to allow him to continue to fleece them? What happened to using guilt and telling the people they won’t be blessed unless they give until it hurts? What about Paula? If she still loved him and the divorce was mutual, surely she can help him, since she clearly has the money even with those large purchases. Especially since she will make far more money as a life coach anyway. All of this they brought upon themselves. They have no one else to blame.

Cop, it just makes you wonder how are they going to justify giving a Bentley. A dozen roses for $50 from 1800flowers.com would have been good enough. Most men actually appreciate flowers too.

Unfortunately, this story hits close to home because it is happening in my neck of the woods. I have associates that have attended Without Walls in the past. In their heyday, the Whites were extremely popular in this area and folks were singing their praises. Although I did not have realize that they were living as large as they were, I shouldn’t be surprised at the information that is now coming out. I viewed their service on my local station a couple of times and was turned off at the fact that the cameras kept panning the professional athletes that were on the front row. Paula White kept specifically addressing the high profile people that were in attendance. There was definitely something ‘showy’ going on with her. Whatever has happened between the two of them, it sounds as if she has left him and her former congregation to fend for themselves. It is interesting that right after they announced their divorce, she publicly stated that she was not divorcing Without Walls. If that is still true, then why is she snapping up high end property left and right and not showing any care or concern for her former congregants or former sanctuary?? Covers are being yanked off of folks left and right…

    I agree.

These people are scoundrals and need to be stopped.

Paula White is or was the real bread winner at WWIC. 50-80K per month she brought in. Not sure how much she still supports WWIC but losing that much money is a hard pill to swallow. Randy could never raise that kind of money preaching.

The walls are tumbling down in Tampa and God is the wrecking ball!!!

Well Phil, I must say that God is not just swinging that wrecking ball in Tampa. God is revealing things all over the world. I’m just saying…
