When I initially started this blog, it was because I had felt an urging in my spirit. It was a need that I could not explain.  Because I follow breaking news and cultural events, my inclination was to center this blog around such general topics.

However, as the weeks have started to pass by and as I have seen what is being blogged about, it has occurred to me that that this will not be a general interest blog. Instead, I am going to focus this blog and give it a specialty.

Mission Statement:

HicktownPress will focus on topics dealing with current events, news, pop culture and general interest stories from a conservative perspective. Particular concentration will be on topics aimed at strengthening, uplifing, educating and uniting the black community.
