Any friend of God’s is a friend of mine. And the Lord clearly has Israel on His heart. In fact, the scriptures tell us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

Psalm 122:6-7 (King James Version)

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

Having said that, do I agree with everything that the leaders of Israel does? Absolutely not. Do I like how they drove bull dozers into Palestine and literally destroyed the homes of even innocent people and murdered children and destroyed families? Absolutely not.

In fact, it was wicked of them to treat those human beings in that manner. The way those human being were treated reminded me of how blacks were treated in this country. Palestinians are suffering, but that is another story which I will discuss on another day.

I don’t necessarily like the leaders of Israel. I don’t like that a Jewish person can commit a horrible crime anywhere in the world, run to Israel and received a safe haven (as their jails are not real jails, but country clubs).

In spite of their faults—which are many, I stand in agreement with God that Israel must exist.

Obama has an unenviable task ahead. On one hand, he must show support of Israel. On the other hand, he must show support of the Muslim countries. That is a tough balancing act and I would not want to trade places with him.

The Israeli officials are expected to expound on the vital role the security fence plays.

The second matter at hand is the continued presence of American troops in Iraq. Israel is concerned a hasty withdrawal by the US will strengthen Iran and further destabilize the Middle East. Obama has promised voters that, if elected, he will immediately start implementing a 16-month timetable to withdraw all American troops from Iraq. The senator has said the war there cannot be won and US involvement in Iraq is what is preventing Washington from dealing with the Al-Qaeda terror threat on the Afghan-Pakistani border and the Iranian threat
