I wonder what the admitted convicted criminal, Reuben Armstrong is going to say now that Pastor Craige Lewis has confirmed that HE alone wrote the article (Jezebel’s Finest Hour) that appeared in Armstrong’s Snakes in the Pulpit book without any reference to the fact that Pastor Craige Lewis wrote it?
Pastor Lewis’ newest blog entry says:
When God gave me the Jezebel’s Finest Hour blog to write, I knew it was gonna make some folks upset. I knew leaving it up for almost 2 months was gonna really tick some church folks off. I wanted to take it down the day after I wrote it, but God would not allow me to edit it or remove it. It was a message from God, speaking to our times and showing us that there are many wolves disguised as sheep that are manipulating people for their own sorted gain. I know it was heavy but what’s even heavier is the people that are hurt by these hollywood chasing, money stealing, false prophets that have crept in unaware. And yet the more they deceive, the less they are called out and recognized by the black church. It’s like, the world has declared their words null and void, and labeled them motivational speakers that are on the level of a Dr. Phil or Les Brown, but most church folks consider them to be genuine articles that represent Christ even though, in the face of the world, they never mention Christ. source
So here is the million dollar question. Since Pastor Craige Lewis’ article appeared on the internet, in his blog first and since it was written in his writing style. And since he is confirming that HE wrote the article, can anyone explain how it is that Reuben Armstrong has posted that exact article in his boring, poorly written book, with no acknowledgement of the fact that Pastor Craige Lewis wrote that article? In fact, the only thing in that entire book worth reading was the Jezebel article which we now know was written by Pastor Lewis!
Lord, help us! Folks, trust me. Reuben Armstrong’s book is poorly written, boring and not worth a plumb nickel. Save your money.
I first broke the story HERE and HERE
As I’ve stated in the past, Reuben Armstrong has an open invitation to come to this blog and respond to the question, which is:
How did an article written by Pastor Craige Lewis end up in Reuben Armstrong’s book without any reference to the fact that Pastor Lewis wrote the article?
Looks like the purchasing audience has been snake bit!

American Idol
Tiger Woods
Wow, I didn’t think Craige was ever goin to respond! And, Reuben was a guest on Michael Baisden’s radio show yesterday. I was disturbed by his words. He made a comment about Christians being Christians at work. Somethin to the fact of they need to leave that at home, since there are other people of other religions at work too.
I was disappointed. he’s a hypocrite. Talking about Creflo, but he called his employees “niggas” (as in “niggas don’t never want to work”..”I should have hired white people” {his words}) and had all kinds of sailors running out of his mouth.
before you throw stones, make sure you live in a BRICK house.

Does Armstrong credit anyone in the pages of his book? I mean any footnotes or anything at all in there?
Good question, IC. No, he does not supply footnotes and does not give anyone any credit on any page of the book.
Wow a straight up thief. I guess he believed in that saying, “If you want to hide something from a black person, put it in a book.” Guess he didn’t know that the Hicktown Community READS and will blow up your spot in a minute if you are shady.
Well Lynn, given your answer to my question, the rest is obvious.
As I suspected, it’s possible Armstrong lifted material from a lot of places and we just don’t know all of them.
Anyone want to guess the quality of Reuben Armstrong’s high school English class? Anyone want to guess the grade he probably received?
My blog is strange. IC’s last comment went to moderation. I checked it out and there is nothing wrong with it. Certainly no bad words in it.
Folks, if your comment ever goes to moderation, be patient. Apparently there are glitches in the blog.
Yes, the Armstrong character leaves a lot to be desired. The book is poorly written. Wouldn’t recommend it even for bathroom reading to be honest with you. It’s boring.
