I have never been a fan of O.J. Simpson. I’ve always thought he comes across as being an arrogant egoist and at the same time seems to loathe the fact that he is black. During his trial on charges that he killed his wife Nicole Brown-Simpson and her ‘friend’ Ron Goldman, he seemed shocked and appalled that he was actually standing trial. It also seemed that he was upset that he was being charged with the crime, not because of his rocky relationship with his wife, but because he seemed to have thought that he had officially assimilated into white society by leaving his beautiful black wife to marry a white woman and by being a great athlete. He was rudely awakened.
O.J. has found himself another ‘trophy’ in the form of Christie Prody, pictured here: 
Prody apparently has a drinking problem that O.J.’s eldest daughter Arnelle, does not approve of. She reportedly ‘checked’ Prody about her drinking and behavior resulting from her hitting the bottle and O.J. rushed to Prody’s defense and told Arnelle, “Don’t talk to her like that.” That’s when Arnelle allegedly set it off and pushed him, knocking him to the ground, giving him a minor head injury.
The National Enquirer, which first reported the incident, quoted a source saying O.J. was “cut on the back of his head, blood was coming out the side of his mouth and his lip was cut.”
The Enquirer said Arnelle was furious with O.J. for dishing out money to Prody, 32, while his high school sweetheart – Arnelle’s mom, Marguerite Whitley – has to work at WalMart to make ends meet. Arnelle also lashed out at OJ for “ditching” Whitley to marry Nicole Brown Simpson, the Enquirer reported.
Arnelle, evidently felt badly and called 911 afterwards. Arnelle later agreed to leave “in order to let things calm down.” SOURCE

I have a problem with children hitting parents. So does the scripture. She was wrong.
I agree. I’m not condoning it, but from the article, it seems like she has held onto a great deal of resentment through the years stemming from him leaving her mother, pampering these other women and flaunting it and here her mother is reportedly now working at WalMart. I’m shocked to even hear that. And this was his ‘high school sweetheart?’ I guess the family dog would get better treatment.
It’s sad though. I hope he can one day repair his relationship with her.
This is what happens when your flesh just has rule over you. I am praying that her anger will subside and that she realizes that anger never solves anything-it just makes things much worse!
I definitely won’t condone her behavior, but I will say that she must have felt as if she were pushed beyond the limit when dealing with those two pieces of work. It has been reported that O.J. participates in recreational drug usage and it has also come to light that his latest blonde is a drunk. I am trying to put my self in his daughter’s shoes as far as observing those two clowns probably blowing money hand-over-fist and her mother is barely eeking out an existence at Walmart. Her same mother who sat in court in support of him when he was dangling by a thread. Hopefully Arnelle will ask God and O.J. Simpson for forgiveness for her actions. It seems to me that O.J. also has some pardons to beg as well.
I just looked at Christine Prody’s picture again and was reminded of when they both bragged about him paying for her breast implants. Maybe Arnelle was watching that drunken floozy flaunt those store bought puppies (like she is doing in that picture) and got to thinking about her own indigent mother…
Once again, I’m not condoning Arnelle’s actions, but I do believe that people can be pushed past their limits. We are afterall still human.
I have to agree with you Dee. Although, she shouldn’t have laid a hand on her father, I too can see how watching your father and his new girlfriend (who’s not much older than you… if at all) wasting money on drugs and booze and here her mother (who is probably in her early 60′s like he is) is juggling and struggling at WalMart to make ends meet.
I’m not saying that Arnelle’s mom should be living some grandiose lifestyle, but that is his first wife who was married to him at the height of his career and the mother of his firstborn children. She had his back and aside from the “Dream Team,” she was basically his ONLY advocate. IMHO, that should at least count for something.
Hitting your parents is NEVER acceptable. How-sa-never, I imagine Arnelle had had enough of the Trash & the Garbage Collector. Arnelle’s anger is most certainly the fruit of OJ’s mistreatment & neglect of his first family. We must pray that God will heal her heart so that she can release that toxic anger. In the words of Sophia Johnson, “He ain’t worff it!”

Arnelle’s mother and O.J.’s mother were his ONLY consistent supporters. Ms. Whitley stayed right there in his corner. I am amazed to reflect back on all of the perks that he threw out to Nicole’s family. He put some of her siblings through college and had her father managing his KFC restaurant. Even though he kicked this good BLACK woman to the curb without a backwards glance, she still tried to have his back. Fast forward to all these years later after the trial and he still can’t seem to treat her decently. I never had any respect for him once he came onto my radar (with the murder scandal) and I definitely won’t be gathering up any for him after this latest information. It’s too bad that Ms. Whitley doesn’t have pale skin and blonde hair. That would be good enough to get her a cash subsidy, the best booze and some gigantic implants!

You and Lynn are definitely right about it NEVER being acceptable to hit one’s parents. I hope that Arnelle makes amends with her heavenly Father and her earthly father for the sake of her soul. If she has any kind of conscience whatsoever, she is probably feeling very remorseful about her actions.
O.J. needs to stay out of the media spotlight and work on repairing his shredded family. It doesn’t take a whole lotta effort to do the right thing.
Did I type ‘lotta’??? That goes to illustrate that when we get hot under the collar, we will sometimes revert back to the hood. I meant to type ‘lot of’. LOL
