darkbrotha, I am with you in this case.

It is a pity that in her religious zeal, our dear Lynn has failed to once again realise that not all who appear before us as religious/christians are actually holy or right. Hitler being a prime example.

Hitler was not a muslim.

Christians have killed, rapped and massacred other human beings in their millions, especially in the time of the Crusades, and their latter day apologies have never being and would never be accepted by the descendants of the wronged who feel entitled to exercise their own form of retribution.

The arabs stole, raped and enslaved many millions of Africans during the Trans Saharan slave trade. And they were muslims.

The white people came and raped, massacred and stole about 23 millions Africans in their Trans Atlantic slave trade. And they were christians.

I am an African, and I know my history. You might understand where I am coming from in relation to religion.

Christians/jews and muslims. There is no difference to me.

Religion and politics could never mix, as it becomes a theocracy - which has proved to be a universal disaster throughout the history of Man.

Religionists -christian or muslims - passionately believe it has to be only their way, and we in the minority will be forever caught in the middle.

Christians aren’t the only people who inhabit the United States.

True, but because I am a born again Christian, I selfishly care about all things concerning Christians.

You say that Christians believe everything revolves around them. Again, if this is your lifestyle and you truly believe in Jesus from your heart, it's only natural to protect that which you sincerely believe in.

For me, Christianity is not a 9 - 5 job. I'm Christian 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

I do appreciate your perspective, though. We all have something to bring to the table.

Christians aren't the only people who inhabit the United States. there happen to be Jews, Muslims, atheists as well. its just so weird how Christians ride with anyone who says or pretends to be with the church. its really a shame that most Christians believe that everything is centered around them. i deal with my belief but i'm able to respect others who don't feel the way i do. but to most Christians its just my way or the highway. and the country is suffering for it. this country is in the worst shape it has ever been in. the more the church gets involved, the worse it becomes. just my opinion...and thanks for responding Lynn.

DarkBrotha,

Politics and religion are very much lumped together. A politician is in a position to affect the Church in an adverse manner and to actually make laws that go against Christians. There are certain sins that the bible speaks of. A politician can make a law that accuses a Christian of "discriminating" when in fact we are simply following the law of the scripture.

So there is no way to separate out the two.

why would politics and religion be lumped together. i would vote republican if i supported the candidate. but never because they supported my religion. that would assume that a person could do anything they wanted to do as long as they went to my church, or worshiped who i worshiped. its the same people who supported our current less than intelligent president, who has sacrificed so many American lives for some get back from 911. just my opinion.
