I blogged about this story previously HERE.   Larry Mendte finally admitted to illegally viewing hundreds of Alycia Lane’s e-mails from March 2006 to May 2008, which resulted in information about her personal life being leaked to the media which contributed to her downfall.

Mendte was fired and charged by federal prosecutors.   He currently faces a maximum  five year sentence in prison but is likely to get much less under federal guidelines and for being cooperative when he is sentenced November 24.

Mendte is accused of accessing three of Lane’s e-mail accounts from home and work more than 500 times between January and May of this year alone.  Lane’s attorney believes his motive was jealousy.
