It looks like Detroit’s ghetto fabulous Councilwoman, Monica Conyers, whom I previously blogged about HERE will soon be facing federal indictment. BlackAmericaWeb reports Conyers, wife of U.S. Rep. John Conyers, is under investigation by the FBI and could be indicted this month.
According to the Detroit Free Press, “Conyers has been the subject of scrutiny in the FBI’s investigation of a multimillion-dollar sludge removal contract awarded last November to Synagro Technologies of Houston. Conyers was critical of the contract in hearings leading up for the vote, then cast the deciding yes vote for Synagro when the deal passed 5-4 on Nov 20.”

Kilpatrick, the father of Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, accepted bribes to ensure approval of the Synagro contract.
This latest saga momentarily deflects attention from Detroit’s ‘Cassanova’ Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick.

Detroit, it looks like you all may have to clean political house very soon. These folks are doing nothing but wasting your hard earned tax dollars and embarassing the residents of your City.

I guess the Motor City is a hotbed of controversy and legal ranglings right now. I have heard that she is a pretty vocal person about everything. Funny how these elected officials get tangled up in a whole lot of mess that could have criminal ramifications. I am sure her husband is not liking that one bit. It could spill over to him too. Wow, that is pretty heavy stuff. I am sure Kwame Kilpatrick, who needs to go, is glad he has one less critic at this time. I also think his mother is in the fight of her life for her Congressional seat.
