It appears that the “Extreme Makeover” family may have gotten at least a temporary reprieve from having their home foreclosed. According the AJC, JPMorgan Chase has placed a 30 day hold on the foreclosure. As of 8/1/08, they were still receiving notices of auction on their front door. Link
The extension in time allows the family to work out payments and bring them current. ***Cough*** Yeah, right!
Obviously, if they had the money, they would have paid it by now. JP Morgan appears to be delaying the inevitable.
The Harper family did indicate that they are interested in selling the house. That’s probably the only smart thought they have had in the past few years. They cannot afford the house now that there is a mortgage on it, so they may as well sell it!
I’ll remind everyone that the house was theirs, free and clear. All they had to do was live in it. Even the taxes on it were paid and it was fully furnished. Yet, they managed to lose it. Money in the hands of a fool is soon departed.

I have to laugh because the video claims that they are selling because the kids have grown up and the family is smaller. Yeah… ok! And I just fell off the turnip truck yesterday. I sure hope they can sell it though in this tough market.
