Another thing to remember is that McDonald’s is a franchise and many of the owners of the restatraunts have nothing to do with corporate policy. This may inadvertantly hurt some of our Small Business owners who purchased a Mc Donald’s and pay them franchising fees in order to provide for their families. Just a thought.

I think most places give the domestic partnership benefits because they want to avoid lawsuits for discrimination. Although sexual orientation is still not a recognized ‘class’ under Title VII, some state laws do have provisions against discrimination based on sexual orientation. I know NYC has such a law, which is why many large companies in NYC just offer the benefits to them, in order to avoid lengthy lawsuits and negative media coverage.

I will continue to eat at McD’s. that means I’d have to give up my phone/DSL/job @ATT…they support gay marriage, and give domestic partnership benefits…I’d have to turn in my car (Ford Taurus)..they offer domestic benefits. I’m sure there are other companies that feels the same way minus the obligatory rainbow, pink triangle etc (and other glbt paraphernalia) hanging out front in their window- just not as upfront…as long as I don’t allow their propaganda to influence my convictions, I have no problem going to those places.

well, the one I go to (by my house) is a franchise… lol

I banned McDonald’s a few months ago and have decided that I am not supporting them since they have chosen to support the gay agenda.

I will admit, as it stands right now, I am one of the hicktowners who will not vote this November. Though, as you stated wannabereal, I will vote for whomever the next president will be. Right now, they both appear shady however it is my strong belief that Obama will be the next president. Though he isn’t my choice he WILL receive my prayers.

Oh BELIEVE me, I understand the argument about our “ancestors fighting for our right to vote”….but it’s just that—THE RIGHT to vote. NO ONE can tell me that as an American I CANNOT VOTE….but on the flip side, I have a right and a responsibility to use my vote that is consistent (as best I can) with my beliefs as a Christian first and foremost). And if I see that a candidate is DIAMETRICALLY opposed to some things that I belief are truly SACRED on a number of issues, and has a WORLDVIEW that is inconsistent with Christianity (despite what they say with their mouth) then I reserve the right to withold my support and my vote.
Sadly, the lesser of “two evils” is still evil ultimately..lol

But don’t mind me, i’m pretty much soured on the whole political scene these days in general…lol….Usually they all turn out to be a big disappointment anyway after getting ‘the masses’ all RILED up and divided up in “teams” and “who’s on my side vs who’s on your side” and “who’s gonna win this year”etc etc etc etc …meanwhile they ALLLLLL belong to organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations which makes NO SECRET of it’s globalist worldview/agenda while letting us all go through the charade of thinking our particular candidates are really going to “change the world” (yea, but not like we think)…..but i digress…..lol

A saying I heard recently really shook me, someone said, “sometimes we get to a point where God gives us the leaders WE DESERVE”….and I’m afraid this nation is getting just that with either Obama or McCain. What to do? what to do?? I guess pray for WHOEVER wins (as Scripture says we SHOULD do) that we might live peaceably—-though the tide seems to be turning against Christians on that count too.
