I omitted a few words. I meant to say, "I would pay to hear her “speak” at the secular Essence Festival, but I would not go to hear her “preach” for free at church." The best I heard JB is when she first was on TBN by herself just encouraging from the word. You are right - when she wants to.... Thanks.

It's okay for Christians to disagree with each other, DestinyLady.

I've heard many of her sermons. I've heard her when she is "on" and truly into God and I've heard her when she is preaching out of ego.

She can definitely preach---when whe wants to.

Lynn:

I must respectfully disagree. I personally do not like JB's style of "preaching". She is too crass and void of substance. But that is not why I say she is not a preacher. Based on the biblical definition of preaching JB does not cut the mustard. To preach or teach the Word is to preach the TRUTH about God. Her money lines, threshing floor and prophecies that don't come to pass are just a few of the untruths that she preaches about God. JB is an excellent exhorter/encourager. When leading people in prayer and worship she is on point. When she assumes the posture of preacher/teacher she is waaaay off mark. I would challenge anyone to take one of her books and see if they line up precept upon precept. They do not. She combines some truth with conjecture season it with emotion and calls in Gospel. Not so. She is gifted, talented, harsh and very bitter. (I understand and do empathize with her disdain toward her "fathers" in the ministry). However, she "preaches" so much error that she borders on being heretical. She no longer introduces herself with the "prohetess" title. That's good because I don't know one of her prophecies that have come to pass. I would pay to hear her "speak" at the secular Essence Festival, but I would not go to hear her "preach" for free at church. While I am not a fan of the Sheets phenomenon, I do know that Juanita was humble and sincere back then. The great qualities that she has (generous, caring, loving) were all overshadowed when she tried to fight in someone else's armor. As a minister and former colleague I am very sensitive about this because many lambs and sheep have been led to slaughter by this woman. I will forever believe that if Juanita would have continued in what she was anointed to do - she would be taking her place in the House of God instead of the world. We are supposed to judge the fruit of the one who claims to be a disciple of God. I am just a fruit inspector and I conclude that Juanita Bynum's fruit began to rot long before the beatdown in the parking lot.

DestinysLady,

I actually don't agree with you that Juanita cannot preach. In my opinion, she can preach, plus knows the Word.

She has gotten off track, off focus and off point. And once off track, the devil has the authority to take people to the shed, which is what is being done to her.

Juanita Bynum started out looking like Suzy Sanctified, wearing no form-fitting clothes while berating women who did. She also beat up every woman who wore make-up. When she got some money and popularity she flipped the script. She exposed her shapely figure, packed on the MAC, underwent plastic surgery and accused everyone of being a hater who questioned the change. Juanita Bynum never preached sound doctrine. First of all she can't preach. Screaming and hollering about what God told you, is not preaching. Fussing ain't preaching! She should have given her testimony about being a whore in the church and then sat down! Forgive me for sounding harsh but I'm sick of people building ministries off of their testimony and then changing their message when their popularity increases. MOST of the sisters that I met around the country, NOT ALL of them, who were blessed by No More Sheets were sisters who attended church regularly, preached, prophesied, led praise and worship, ministered in every area in ministry YET had no problem committing fornication and adultery. No More Sheets co-signed on their licentious behavior because after all, "Look at Juanita, God blessed her anyway!" I do acknowledge that there are those whose lives have been genuinely blessed by No More Sheets. But I will forever maintain that many did not come out from under the sheets (their own words) they just felt like "I can relate to Juanita!" Again, I do not want to trivialize anyones positive experience from her ministry, but Juanita has done alot of damage. There are countless sheep that have been scattered by her ministry. When she led prayer she was anointed. When she branched out into things that she obviously was not anointed to do it bore no fruit. Her new website confirms her own words, "I am taking my place in the WORLD." Whether someone is a Juanita Bynum fan or not, the way her life and ministry has fallen apart is evidence not that she lost her way, but rather she was on the wrong road from the beginning.

A new role on the TV show "Lincoln Heights", a make-up line, bath and body products line and a movie of "No More Sheets." Is she a minister of the Gospel of Christ or a celebrity? I thought her "destiny" was preaching to save the lost!
