Joe and Katherine Jackson Seek Custody of Michael’s Children
Michael Jackson’s mother filed a petition Monday in Los Angeles Probate Court seeking legal guardianship of her son’s three children, CNN has confirmed.

A hearing was scheduled for August 3 on Katherine Jackson’s petition.
Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, told CNN on Sunday evening that he and his wife expected to keep the children.
“We’re not trying to get custody,” Jackson said. “We will get custody and have custody.”

I sure hope that they give these kids better lives than they did for their own biological children. I was rather appalled at Joe Jackson commenting on the red carpet about his record label and having very little to say about the life of his son… a son whom I might add was the main reason he was able to live on easy street most of his life. I hope that Michael’s children don’t fall under the same pressure to carry on the Jackson performing legacy and be allowed to thrive as children and eventualy find careers in what makes them happy.
I sure hope Janet getsherself together and takes those children. I really think Joe and Katherine are too old for the rigors of raising more children. I am happy they want to attempt it, but the truth is Katherine is 79yo, and Joe has to be in his 80’s. God is good but those children are going to need someone who will be physically able to care for them for quite some time. I pray that the children remain together, but is there no other alternative?
