It’s Sunday! How Great Thou Art!
Wake up!
It’s Sunday morning in HickTown!
Every Sunday morning, before going out to church, I will give some type of acknowledgement to Jesus Christ, my personal Lord and Savior!
I love Him, I love Him, I love Him, I love Him, I love Him!
He is WORTHY of LOVE. I love everything about Him. I love reading the scriptures where he healed, comforted, scolded, confronted…but mostly I LOVE that this GREAT God loved me so much that He stepped down from Heaven, by way of the Holy Ghost, was implanted into the womb of a virgin named Mary. Was born. At age 12, taught the leaders in the Temple. Dedicated His entire life to living a sin-free life. Was lied on. Beaten for our iniquities. Died on a cross at Calvary.
On the THIRD DAY, BrotherMan, kept His promise and ROSE UP.
Don’t get me started up in here this morning! I feel the Holy Ghost rising up in me! Oh, my goodness!
HickTowners, here are two different renditions of one of the greatest songs ever written to Jesus Christ (Isn’t it funny that the ONLY God who has songs written to Him is Jesus? Have you ever thought about that?)
How Great Thou Art
Dolly Parton, country version
Yolanda Adams, sistah – girl version

Praise Be Unto To The Almighty, True, and Living God! I am a God lover and and Jesus freak. If that is what they call it. I like to acknowledge that there is no greater love than his. I start my day with the praise on my lips and his words in my mouth. My love for the Lord should be exemplified through my personal walk with him. What others might call the low place is the high place for me. Praise the Lord! The evil one cannot knock you down when you are on your knees! I pray for all of you in this community Stay Blessed!
Another day that we were not promised! Thanks for the link to Yolanda – I’d not heard her rendition of “How Great Thou Art”, it was soul stirring.
Lord,
I come before your throne w/praise in my mouth and thanksgiving in my heart. I thank you for making me a new creature. I ask that you bless my children, my family, friends and those who consider themselves my enemies. Thank you for favor with Jena 6,the young lady in W VA, Charlene Cothran, my blog families: hicktownpress, pulpit-pimps, eurweb, blackamericaweb, minglecity.com. I ask that you loosen forgiven into our hearts towards those who brought offenses against minorities across the U.S.A.familes. And please if it be your will, move upon President Bush’s heart and bring the troops home.
And Lord I ask that your forgive us for our sins-known and unknown. Your unconditional love and kindness cannot be described in words and I will not make such a feeble attempt. I will only say “Thank You!” Thank you for your son Christ Jesus, thank you for saving me and washing me clean, thank you for my spritual family.
In the name of your Son Christ Jesus, I pray..amen.
thank you for your love, Father.
