Previously Lynn reported on Isiah Thomas’ negative behavior towards women and how his bad behavior coupled with his calling Anucha Browne-Saunders the “B” word won her nearly $12 million in a lawsuit HERE.
Well apparently life isn’t so cavalier for Isiah Thomas any more now that Anucha Browne-Saunders has officially wiped that Kool-Aid smile off Thomas’ face. Thomas was fired from his position with the New York Knicks on April 18th, following the infamous legal verdict in favor of Ms. Browne-Saunders.
Apparently Thomas has not recovered from the firing. It is unclear whether he managed to secure other employment since being fired. Reportedly, he may be depressed enough to have overdosed on sleeping pills early this morning at his $4 million Harrison, NY residence.
Former Knicks president and coach Isiah Thomas was taken to a hospital in an unconscious but breathing state after overdosing on sleeping pills in his suburban New York home early Friday, NBC News reports.
An ambulance responded to the 911 call, Harrison Police Department Officer Vincent Lanzillotti said. SOURCE
New York Knicks officials would only say that Isiah Thomas is fine. Stay tuned….

Well, well, well! My oh my how the mighty (and arrogant) have fallen. Sorry, but I am not scrounging up any sympathy for him. Cocky rat!
SMH. Remember when Isaiah’s then best friend Magic Johnson announced to the world he had AIDS? Afterward, Isaiah publicly told Magic to tell people how he REALLY contracted the disease; hinting it was from a man. Even Oprah asked Magic about it but all he said on her show was that “some people are trying to start trouble…” What a mean thing to do to one’s ‘best’ friend. I guess Isaiah’s chickens are coming home to roost!
I had never heard about him trying to “out” Magic Johnson. And you mean to tell me that he pulled that stunt on his so-called friend?? He truly is a low life. A friend would not try to shove you in front of a moving train, especially at a time when the man was already emotionally crippled. Yeah, Mr. Cocky is getting his alright.
I do believe Magic contracted the disease from a man. Isaiah is right about that, I believe.
I am not disputing how Magic may have contracted the disease. I have beef with Mr. Cocky because he presented himself as Magic’s friend and then tried to get some camera time with that information. A “friend” doesn’t kick you when you’re down.
On a side note, did you all know that there are some people who don’t believe that Magic Johnson ever had the disease at all. I have personally heard people say that they think it was a ploy. I do not believe he lied because I don’t think anyone would willingly invite that kind of negative attention into their lives. Also, I will NEVER forget the look on Cookie’s face when he gave that news conference. There was no faking about any of that. Now on to my conspiracy theory. I DO believe that there is a cure out there for AIDS and some other major diseases. I think the pharmaceutical companies (and maybe even the government) have them under lock and key. People with the kind of money that Magic has, could possibly buy their way cured. There is big money to be made in the pharmaceutical industry, so why would they start curing ordinary folks and eliminate their cash cows! Just a thought…
I vaguely remember another player trying to ‘out’ Magic, but had no idea it was this character… Isiah Thomas. WOW. That is low, but then again look at the history of his character.
I doubt he’s found work since being fired earlier this year. After news reports of former and current NBA players going into foreclosure and even the NBA is laying off people due to the conditions in this current economy, I’m sure Thomas is sweating bullets like the rest of us wonder if he will be able to keep a roof over his head.
After that multi-million legal verdict to Ms. Browne-Saunders, I’m sure no one wants to touch him with a 10 foot pole because he was blatently arrogant the entire time that trial took place. And after that verdict and it coming out that he did in fact harass and create a hostile work environment for Ms. Browne-Saunders, no one wants to bring that bad attitude and behavior into their business, especially in today’s corporate climate.
Oooooh ooooooh ooh! I just read on TMZ, that this fraud tried to lie and say that it was his daughter that paramedics were responding to. The Chief of Police laughed when he was questioned about the discrepancy and said, “Well if that is what he wants to tell you guys…” Why lie???
Yep Diva, his cockiness flew out the window when he got fired. Since the firing, he most likely has found out the hard way that he is not the shiggitty. Ha!
I read that too Dee about him supposedly claiming it was his daughter and not him. Meanwhile, news reports already had surfaced saying that police responded to a call about a 46 year old man unconscious. I guess he still hasn’t learned the lesson about lying.
It was how Isaiah did it though. When I heard it I thought “how mean.” He publicly said this to Magic.
Fast forward 17-18 yrs and now Magic says he’s already contacted the woman he got it from. I found that odd because when he announced it he said “you never know who…” meaning he had so many sex partners he didn’t know.
@deelove: People believe Magic made it up because the virus is at undetectable levels in his blood. This is due to his being able to afford the cocktail of medications years ago when people were dying from the disease because they couldn’t afford the $5,000-6,000/month medication.
