Is Angel Lola Luv the Modern Day Hottentot Venus?

Okay, you have been warned to keep it moving but I notice you are still reading. With that in mind. DO NOT send me any of your nasty little notes telling me how “vulgar” I am, okay? Besides, if I’m vulgar, why are you hanging around anyway, with your holy self? Can you explain that? Ummmm hmmmm.
Most of you have heard the tragic story of Saartjie Baartman. She is better known by her stage name of Hottentot Venus. She was born in the 1700′s in South Africa and was orphaned when she was young. 
At some point she became a slave while still in Africa and was sent to England so that she could be put on “exhibit”—sort of like a carnival act. And what exactly was her “talent”? Well, she had an exceptionally large behind/butt/buttocks.
Whites were not accustomed to seeing such large behinds so they thought they could put her on display and make money off of her, like a freak show. In addition to her exceptionally large buttocks, she also had elongated labia.
Long story short, while in Britain she was put on display and was forced to “entertain” in the nude. She was then sent to Paris and fell into the hands of an animal trainer who of course subjected her to more humiliation. Eventually she was forced into prostitution. In further shame, upon her death, her buttocks were preserved and put on display. Sick, sick, sick…
We now have some modern day Hottentot Venus’ running around. Black women have the personal responsibility to guard our own image. While looking at various websites today, I bumped in the story of a woman who goes by the name, Angel Lola Luv. She is said to have had surgery to enlarge her buttocks to an abnormally large size. Apparently by doing so, she greatly increased the amount of model work that she gets.
But here is the question. WHY would a woman purposely do that to her body simply to get more work? I view this woman as a carnival act, no different really than Hottentot. Well, there is one difference.
Hottentot was born in the 1700′s and was a victim. This woman was born in modern age. Does the thought not occur to such women to go to college and earn a degree and education? Why use their bodies to make money? I find this both sad and pathetic. This woman is walking around with a huge, fake butt to please men and cause men to buy her pictures—-and I can imagine she is making money off of men in other ways too. 
What do you think? Should women have their breasts and buttocks enlarged to make money? Do you see a problem with this?

I didn’t know that she supposedly had surgery to enlarge her behind. I guess they airbrush out any scars in the pictures she takes. She and London Charles a.k.a. Deelishious from Flavor of Love both are doing the same…. cashing in on their COUGH assets.
I guess these women think that they are smart because sex sells and they figure that they will always make money as long as they are perky and have some looks about them.
In a sense they are right that they will always make money by doing this because men will buy it no matter what. The sad thing is that it also feeds into steretypes and misogony against women. When men see so many of these video vixens displaying their bodies like this, they assume that everyone is the same.
A lot of people now are saying that they are so happy that Michelle Obama is the first lady because her style of dress and the way in which she carries herself shows a different side of black women and gives our young girls someone positive to aspire to emmulate.
When I was researching this story, I found a new “rap” video that she made in which she brags about preferring a thug over a “preppy” guy. Pitiful. She exemplifies all that is wrong in the black community.
None to worry ladies, when she gets to be my age – EVERYTHING has a way of going south. That big ole thang will only fit into elastic waist pants (heh-heh-heh). Unless she’s like all the others and constantly have surgery to keep it in shape.
It is sad that these women won’t go to college and do something productive. It’s sadder that some men are on this level and make tramps like her possible,
My daughter is 16, and she won’t even give people that make these videos her time. (I’m so proud of her.) I’ve been teaching her that college is not an option since she was in 7th grade – she’s a sophomore and she is already looking at colleges.
And I really do appreciate Michelle Obama because she is a class act and her daughters will follow in her footsteps.

Merry Christmas Lady D. And I am giggling, because when I read this article yesterday I wondered what on earth these women will look like in their 80′s and 90′s if they live that long, in nursing home with no teeth, poor eye sight and a bunch of wrinkes and stuff dropping and sagging, but a surgically enhanced behind that stands straight up like a soldier? LOL
That looks painful.
I always wondered how will they close their casket when their breast and behinds are unnaturally enlarged. I suppose they will have pull all that extra stuff out first.
Too much for me. I’ll just keep exercising my mind and body and let nature take it course.
@ LadyD – Since when has plastic gone south? If it were real, that’s one thing. But that stuff is all doll parts. She’ll be an old woman looking absolutely ridiculous. LOL!
@ Energize – Where have you been? Lurking again? Girl, what will it take to get you in here regularly? I agree with you that they will have to literally take some of those plastic doll parts out before burying those pitiful beings.

Back to this foolish girl and others like her – response to all the comments, I’m LOL!!!! Wondering what these women will loook like in their 80′s and 90′s? Will the casket close? Doll parts? I promise, they will look pretty scary – Dolly Parton is an example. Energize, I’m like you, exercising my mind and body so that I will be healthy.
I pray that these very insecure young women will hear that they are loved by the Lord Most High and make some changes. Only He can give a mate that will truly love.
Testimony: One of my 51yr old friends got married 2 weeks ago, and honeymooned in Saudi Arabia to a wonderful 53yr brother that has his head on straight. To all my waiting sisters, keep serving the Lord, you never know what He has in store.

OK, it really IS vulgar. LOL But the really awful part is that it is true. It is almost hard to believe that this is really happening. Why would this poor girl mutilate her body in such a way? Is this going to be the next trend with our young girls??? God forbid.
We REALLY need to pray for our young people. They are bein hit from every side by forces trying to opress their souls. Thank God that He has overcome the world!

Mediatakeout.com posted a picture of famous designer, Donatella Versace in a bikini and look at how strange and ridiculous she looks with all that sagging flesh and perky breast implants. smh

But consider this. Versace decided to wear that bikini. Versace decided to go out in public with it. Versace decided to walk around without a wrap.
You KNOW she must have looked in the mirror beforehand! She MUST think that she looks good. I mean, WE can see that this is insane, but she obviously cannot.
This is what worries me about our young people? Are they really seeing themselves (and these icons they look up to) or are they just seeing a fantasy of what they think is there?
