When the picture (above, left hand corner) of two members of the JenaSix crew started to float around the internet, I initially wrote it off. I thought, okay, they are young and immature. I’ll ignore them trying to “bling” and profile. So I stopped even thinking about that picture of them at the BET awards posing like stars in those loud, inappropriate clown “costumes”.
In my mind, though, I was wondering who was advising those young men and why their parents didn’t have enough brains to tell their sons to lay low at least until after this case is over. But I pushed it from my mind and continued blogging.
Um…AJ, I’m getting winded. I’m getting upset again. Please, tell me again to calm down.

Alright, so I stumbled upon THIS ignorant video of them acting like they hit the lottery with money that some of you all sent to them.
Notice I said “you all”. After the 911 situation with money disappearing, I determined that I’d never send money unless I knew exactly how it was going to be used and where specifically it’s going. I could see myself sending to Oprah’s Angel Network, for example because she tells people what she is doing with their money.
Again, WHERE ARE THEIR PARENTS? WHERE ARE THEIR LAWYERS or OTHER HIGH PROFILE PEOPLE to tell them to STOP at least until this whole case is over?
Thank God I don’t have high blood pressure because this is enough to make a sistah girl stroke out. This is horrible. Two train wrecks on the loose with zero guidance because obviously their parents are TOO DUMB to advise them. Too ignorant to tell them to shut up and sit down.
Word to the wise. STOP SENDING YOUR MONEY TO JENA, LOUISIANA!

The pictures are real but I doubt it’s money from donations. As a teenager I took crazy pictures with money and jewerly don’t kill these dudes for having fun.

I’ve done my best to stay on the sidelines with this one but here goes. Where else could the amount of money shown in the video come from if not from donations. These folks to not appear to be well off and I doubt those boys jobs (if they are working) pay them that kind of money – thus somebody needs to get to explaining.
Surely some parent, attorney, etc. explained the seriousness of this situation to this knuckle heads and told them to keep their nose clean, but that does not guarantee that they heeded that warning.
Also, as stated, it would be quite interesting to know the source of this video.
My nerves have “had it” in this situation. Until we get some answers, I stand by the fact that folks need to close their wallets.

As for these boys, I did hear about this and how they were showing out at the BET awards. While that I could understand and figured that the network probably hooked them up a bit to celebrate their freedom, I do think the myspace pics were stupid. From all the news reports you know that they were not from a well to do area and certainly if they did have access to this kind of cash, they would have been able to hire Willie Gary, Esq. and his private jet and call it a day. I haven’t sent a dime and am glad I didn’t. People like these should invest in Prepaid Legal.
