Hey “Minister” Jack Aldrich, Your Turn on the HickTown Hotseat

I’ve said several times that Florida and Georgia appear to be in a contest to see which state can produce the most rogue “ministers”. Is anyone keeping count of how many Florida vs. Georgia rogues I’ve posted? I need to go back and check.

Relax Georgians, this freak is from Florida. Well Hicktowners, I guess I will need to start taking tickets and having these “ministers” stand in line for their turn on the hotseat. They just won’t stop sinning and chasing down people’s children! Check this jerk out:

A Central Florida pastor is behind bars in St. Lucie County after authorities arrested him Monday afternoon and charged with Internet solicitation of a teenager.

According to investigators, 46 year old Jack Aldrich used the internet to make sexual advances to someone he thought was a 15 year old girl from Port St Lucie in an internet chat room. The girl was actually an undercover St. Lucie County Sheriff’s detective.

Monday representatives from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Mary Police Department and St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest of Aldrich at his home in Lake Mary.

Aldrich is Director of Music Ministries of the First United Methodist Church of Winter Park in Orange County

Now ya’ll know this is just pathetic. Um…anymore “ministers” interested in taking the hot seat? We have plenty of space here!

SOURCE  – The other source I had has expired so I put up an updated source link.

UPDATE as of 4/3/08 – Here is the Warrant on this freak

The original source sites this accused child predator as a pastor. But he apparently is the music minister—a minister just the same who has no business going after people’s children!

When did the ministry become the profession of choice for sex predators?

    Just a little FYI:
    Florida: 7
    Georgia: 6
but dont sleep on Texas with 4
    Not that I’am keeping score.:-)

These folks are crafty like satan’s people usually are. The M.O. of these pedophiles is that they have figured out that they can live with tax free benefits of being a member of the Clergy. So they can basically live free while they abuse your children.

They can easily gain the trust of children and especially women with small children who will readily leave their children unattended because he is a “Mand of Gawd.” I mean after all who is going to dare question their own Pastor??

They are charismatic and can easily develop a following of ‘ryde or die’ Christians who will defend their honor at all costs, even though they have none.

    Did I miss anything?

I truly appreciate the work, however you should get all of your facts lined up before posting.

This man is NOT A MINISTER, I REPEAT NOT A MINISTER…he was only hired (from OUT OF STATE) in January, to run the music department…often referred to as the music ministry.

He is NOT a Floridian unless you merely count the fact that he recently moved to Florida.

Please think of all those folks who might be ‘hurt’ by misinformation. Everyone who even knew him slightly and briefly are heartsick about this.

    LYNN’s RESPONSE:

Sir or Ma’am, you need to take a sedative. Here is a DIRECT QUOTE from the article:

A Central Florida pastor is behind bars in St. Lucie County after authorities arrested him Monday afternoon and charged with Internet solicitation of a teenager.

Are you aware of the fact that a pastor is a minister? Now if he is not in fact a pastor, TAKE IT UP WITH THE NEWSPAPER! Don’t come in here acting crazy while protecting this freak.

The article also identifies him as being a central FLORIDA pastor, so again, if you don’t like that, TAKE IT UP WITH THE NEWSPAPER and keep your hysterics out of here!

Regarding the fact that people who knew this trick are upset, TAKE IT TO THE “PASTOR” and tell him to keep it in his pants and STOP molesting children.

Hey HickTowners, can you believe this? These sickos keep coming into HickTown to defend these perverted child abusers and are actually angry at me for alerting the public to what’s going on. They won’t go to the child abusers and confront them for going after people’s children. Instead, they come to people like me who are exposing these weirdos and try to stop me.

satan is truly on the prowl.

    Good Morning Lynn,

As I mentioned to you before I respect what you do. I do not know Kayemossburg and I am pretty sure they can speak for themselves but it appears you read too much into the comment. All it seems he/she attempted to do was give correct facts to something that may have been mis reported (his position in the church and where he was from) I did not see where he/she defended Mr Aldrich nor condoned what he did only that those who were close to the situation were “heartsick” as many of us would be if we found someone we knew and worshiopped with us was guilty of such a crime. He/she never claimed he was innocent or that it was a lie only that they were “heartsick”. Like I said I enjoy and respect your work but it appears you jumped the gun attacking the commenter the way you did.

    LYNN’s RESPONSE

Cep said, I did not see where he/she defended Mr Aldrich nor
condoned what he did only that those who were close to the situation were
“heartsick” as many of us would be if we found someone we knew and worshiopped
with us was guilty of such a crime.

And that’s why we need to put our trust in the Lord, instead of in man. There is a pattern on this site of people coming in—not to discuss the children who are victims, but to uplift and cry over the pervert who either abused the children or attempted to do so.

as I said to the commenter, take her/his complaints directly to the newspaper which is where I got my information and don’t bring that up in here.

In the scheme of things, what’s more important: The fact that he was caught in the direct act of attempting to molest a child or the newspaper quoting him as a resident of Florida when in fact he is new to Florida?

This is not the blog for that type of nonsense, as I’ve been clear from Day #1 that I am 100% pro victim and 100% against criminals. There are a trillion and one blogs on the blogosphere. Anyone who wants to check some out, look at my blogroll.

I stand by what I said and in fact, meant what I said. Take it to the newspapers where I got my information. Don’t roll up in here with that mess. My concern is for the danger that creep poses to society.

Lynn said “Hey HickTowners, can you believe this? These sickos keep coming into HickTown to defend these perverted child abusers and are actually angry at me for alerting the public to what’s going on. “

I was merely trying to address you calling the commentor a sicko when they in no way seemed to defend the actions of the child molestor nor did they seem angry at you. It just seems kayemossburge doesnt fit into the category with some of the other sicko defenders I have seen on here. Nor did it seem they were trying to stop you. Anyone that reports news will tell you that they keep their credibilty by getting the little facts straight and therefore make the big story the issue. i truly believe the commentor was just trying to help with the “little” facts so that the big story of yet another child abuser in the church would be the issue and you unleashed the wrath for the wrong reasons. You have made the location an issue on the blog speaking of Florida and Georgia as the capitals of the mess that is going on in our pulpits these days and though location is not a big issue when it is made one by others I personally don’t think it is wrong for someone to correct what may have been an error. Not your error mind you but an error none the less. Finally we don’t know who else kayemossburg addressed this situation to. He/she may have very well went to their pastor or written a letter to the editor of the newspaper. If you are reading this kayemossburg I would like to know if you have done these things As i too feel if you are going to voice concern voice it too those who can do something about it.

Excuse me a moment….but what difference does it make if he is or isn’t a Pastor, Minister, Apostle, self-appointed bishop, designated church toilet cleaner or the tooth fairy for that matter?

The TRUE fact is he is a sexual predator who thought he was engaging in sexual conversations online with a 15 year old girl, only it turned out to be an undercover cop. The part about him engaging in the explicit chat with what he knowingly presumed to be an underage female is certainly not inaccurate, otherwise he would not be sitting in a jail cell.

At age 46, I seriously doubt that he woke up one morning last week and decided for the first time that he was going to attempt to have sex with or sexual conversations with a 15 year old. He more than likely has a history as most pedophiles do and if he was surrounding himself in churches where he could have easy access to youth while no-one suspected, he deserves to be exposed to congregations as he is clearly trying to pass himself off as a chruch steward when his agenda is to defile the Children of God.

    Lynn,

I have read this blog enough to know you are saved so I hope you receive this in the spirit it is given. It has become difficult to be a complete Christian in our society. When I say that I mean we are both too nice and forgiving without reminding ourselves of God’s judgment or we judge without reminding ourselves of God’s Grace. I ma saying that while this man should be judged for calling himself a minister and not bearing any fruit, and because I am a father I wouldn’t want my children anywhere near him, and he deserves whatever punishment he receives we are also required to do the hard thing as Christians which is forgive. Unlike most I believe we have a Christian duty to judge but judging is easy. Forgiveness is hard. The last thing Jesus asked for those who did him wrong was forgiveness. Luke 23:34 He even allowed a man condemned to death to be saved while on the cross. Think about what he said in Matthew 5:44. Finally read Galatians 6:10 and tell me what was good about calling kayemossburg a sicko or by trying to make her look bad by implyng what she may have been heartsick about. Yes we are to pray for the victims. I pray everyday for adults and children who have been victims of sexual assault as I have someone close to me who has been a victim. But once again the hard thing to do is to also pray and try to forgive those who have committed these heinous crimes. Why? Because if we call ourselves Christians and disciples of Christ then that is what we are supposed to do. God bless the children whom this man has hurt and may God lead him to repentance if it is in His good and perfect will.

    God Bless you Lynn

    Still reading everyday,
    cep31974

Jack Aldrich is not an ordained minister. He is a music major who does a music ministry at churches. He was a school teacher at one time and has worked in North Carolina and South Carolina.
