If you’re the parent of a Christian teenager, Kenda Creasy Dean has this warning:
Your child is following a “mutant” form of Christianity, and you may be responsible.
Dean says more American teenagers are embracing what she calls “moralistic therapeutic deism.” Translation: It’s a watered-down faith that portrays God as a “divine therapist” whose chief goal is to boost people’s self-esteem.

Dean is a minister, a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary and the author of “Almost Christian,” a new book that argues that many parents and pastors are unwittingly passing on this self-serving strain of Christianity.

She says this “imposter” faith is one reason teenagers abandon churches.
“If this is the God they’re seeing in church, they are right to leave us in the dust,” Dean says. “Churches don’t give them enough to be passionate about.”

Without being too “preachy”, I’ll say this. There is one God. His name is Jesus Christ. When He walked the earth, He hailed from a small town called Nazareth. His earthly mother was Mary and His earthly father was Joseph, a carpenter.

Jesus was born of miraculous birth. The Holy Ghost placed Him in Mary’s womb. At that time, she was still a virgin.

Jesus walked this earth. He lived and He loved. He laughed. He cried. He fellowshipped. He was a perfect, kind, giving being. In fact He came to this earth to die, offering Himself up as a sacrificial Lamb—so that you and I may elect to have eternal life through HIM!

He suffered and bled on a cross for ALL of us at Calvary. He then gave up the ghost and died. BUT, He rose again and He now sits on the right hand of God the Father.

Teenagers are in for a rude awakening if they don’t know God. It is a very sad state for a human to be in without the True and Living God. WHO is there to run to in times of trouble and in times of happiness? WHO is there to pray to when your back is against a wall.

My heart aches for anyone who is out here without Jesus Christ. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

On planes, obese people have to buy two seats since they are taking up two seats. I see no problem with them being charged a little more. There is a price to pay (not just health wise) to carry all that weight. PUSH away from the table. It’s ridiculous. I don’t see it as discrimination. It’s a health crisis. Sugar diabetes, high blood pressure and other serious health issues arise from being so obese.

I believe that EVERY disease can be cured via diet. What do you think?
