Last Sunday, as I was driving to church, I heard about the passing of Dee Dee Showell of the famous Showell family of Baltimore. I told my church about it but forgot to mention it here. My apologies and here is wishing peace to the entire Showell family.

The girl could rock some hats now!
i didn’t know her personally, but I’ve been to First Apostolic Faith church
for a Bibleway convention
She was known for her hats. Hat wearing is a dying breed in culture.
What I will miss …..is turng to the Kings Daughtr in church, when the pastor says..turn around n tell the person bhind you..”He not done with me yet.
What i will miss, the emergency trips to phila to pick up one ( 1 ) pair
of shoes that she just had to have, the call to talk about the smallest
thing. That other little that called me POP, and my wife MOMA DOT,
and that was the way that we treated each other. Will never forget ater
selling her a house and being called at 10 oclock one night and told pop
you gltta come over here and help me move from the appartment. thats
when I was convinced about the hats and shoes. We had some quite and wonderful times together. DEE DEE we love you and will surely miss you.
To the Showell family, you have surely lost a PRINCESS.
OUR CONDOLANCES TO THE FAMILY, and what a memorable job
was done with her arangements. I have spoken to many folks out of town
who have asked me “who was this girl” and I am proud to tell them that she
was my” daughter” and my “friend” thanks for letting me vent here. POP
That was beautiful, “Pop” and I thank you for sharing.
