I believe sincerely that I have the most loyal and faithful readership on the web. When this blog reached a point where I was offline for over seven days, I resigned myself to having to start all over again in building up a readership.
I had put notices on Bria’s and AC’s blogs to alert people that I would be back up, so some of my readers knew what was going on—-since they read those blogs. However, the majority of readers had no clue what was happening. A few of you sent me emails to ask if everything was okay (thanks for your concern).
To my surprise, in spite of being gone for nine days, my first day online ended with 250 visitors by the end of the day—on a FRIDAY! And I was tickled by the fact that a huge number of those visitors were my regular readers. Obviously they simply checked back daily—for NINE DAYS straight, waiting for me to come back. And when they saw I was back, they simply moved on as though nothing ever happened, reading the articles as usual.
Now that’s loyalty and trust. They trusted that I would work out whatever was keeping me off line and they kept coming back, in faith—knowing that I would come back because they know my personality. They trusted that I am not the type to just disappear without an explanation.
In short, THANKS to my loyal “residents” and lurkers. I’m still working on trying to pull more of you out of lurker mode, though. But for now, I’m just satisfied that you stand by me, read what I have to say, tell your friends about the blog, mail articles to your friends, etc.
Blog Changes/Upgrades
Regarding changes, I had the Google ads removed since they were not earning me any money. Why take up blog space with that junk if it’s of no use to me? I kept the Chitika ads because they are earning me money. I earn money every time someone clicks on the ad.
Note also that I’ve had a “recent comments” added. And my webmaster is going to add a Contact Form to make it easier for you all to contact me with tips, general comments, etc.
The poll will be returning. My webmaster upgraded this blog to the most recent version of Wordpress so I’m excited.
Stay tuned for more wonderful articles and pimp alerts from the web’s best—-HickTownPress!

Hi Lynn glad you are back miss you. My firefox browser won’t work on your address but my explore browser will.
It is so odd that some browsers still are not picking up the fact that HickTown is back up again.
You are the second person today who mentioned that your browser is not picking up.
Lynn
After reading your article this scriptures comes to mind Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD. God will never let any weapon prosper that is againist us. You have a great blog. I feel safe here, and I know that whatever you write that there is truth behind it and the source is always revealed. Thanks for being who you are in Christ.

You cannot imagine how good that compliment makes me feel. thanks so much!
When this blog was down, I visited other blogs but there truly is no place like “home” and HickTown is my home here in the Cyber world.
When I first started this blog, I was trying to avoid being too “preachy” and I rarely mentined Jesus. But the Holy Spirit that resides on the inside of me exploded forth and I discovered that I cannot separate out who I am. I am a born again, blood washed, baptized Christian. And it shows in this blog.
Thanks!
Lynn
I’m just glad you’re up and running
You were sorely missed!
Wheeeeeeeeeww, glad your back in business. I got real nervous, thought you were gone for good. Sorry, but I have a real problem with service in India. We need the work here in the USA. Just my opinion.

Hi Lynn! I’m so glad to see that you are back. Because I’m not much of a talker, I thought I had been blocked. It was “poof” and you were gone. I had friends looking for you. I even put out a search, but still to no avail. Yes, I was one of those who checked 2 and 3 times a day, looking for you.
I don’t understand why today I was able to log on, but not on the the 7th. I tried to find a personal email address, but had no luck with that either.
Well, I’ll stop rambling and go back to reading. You’re my source for news. So again, I’m glad to be back in fellowship with the family. I missed you guys!
