Most have heard by now that retired General, Colin Powell has endorsed Barack. THANKS General Powell!

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell announced Sunday that he will be voting for Sen. Barack Obama, citing the Democrat’s “ability to inspire” and the “inclusive nature of his campaign.”

The endorsement speaks volumes on the character of Colin Powell. He crossed party lines to endorse the best candidate for the position.

There can be so much jealousy, envy and even hatred among black people. General Powell’s endorsement was truly was a breath of fresh air.

I am so happy. His endorsement was well thought out, articulate, and strategic. I liked how he laid out the foundation of pros, cons and his relationship with both candidates, their running mates and then dropped the bomb. My friends and I were doing the happy dance all morning.

Not sure if you all saw Pat Buchanan saying that Colin Powell was very ungrateful to a party that put him position and turned his back on the GOP, that let him skip over other officers for his position and to cross party lines and not be there for McCain when he was sinking. A black female political analyst said the GOP turned its back on Colin Powell when they had him stand before the UN saying there were WMD….

I too was happy that he thoroughly explained why he was supporting Barack Obama, as I’m sure some will feel that his endorsement is simply because Obama is a black man. I also like the fact that he even took it to the VP candidates and pointed out that Sarah Palin is NOT ready to be VP, let alone President. I also hope that people can appreciate that a man of his military and foreign relations background is actually saying this with the best interests of the country at heart.

General Powell gets kudos for the courage that it took to take this stance. This is a true example of not being afraid to stand up for what one believes in.
