Chaka Khan speaks truth!
Thanks, Chaka! I agree with Chaka 100%. What sicko would dance on a woman’s grave?

I saw this interview last night. She was so honest and forthright. Some things needed to be said especially by someone who knew Whitney intimately. Bravo!!!
I can understand why Clive Davis did what he did. I think she might have a little more understanding of “the” why but she might be playing it safe. I dont know, just speculation.
Clive Davis is a business man period. He probably doesn’t care about any of those singers personally. They are cash cows to him. The industry is inheritly evil. Chaka just didn’t want to participate in the evil at that point. I mean you had people cheesing posing for pics even when knowing she was dead downstairs. That’s sick and inhumane!
Makes me question how much Whitney’s so called good friend Clive Davis really cared about her that he allowed the party to go on. He has to be a very callous hearted person.
As she said, say a prayer, let everyone who knew Whitney say what she meant to them, eat and go home…I know he had the caterers, monetary commitments and the ball was rolling but the agenda could have changed…
I agree with Chaka and will now pray for her. It seems like it’s becoming a pattern that if you cross Clive Davis, you have an untimely demise. Look at what happened to Phylis Hyman and now Whitney. I was watching an old interview Whitney did with Diane Sawyer and she basically described Clive Davis as a Svengali that she managed to get away from. The interview was very
revealing about what kind of pressures she was really under.
I think the party should have been cancelled as well. As a poster stated earlier, Whitney was a money maker for him. I believe Whitney was under alot of pressure to sell records and keep up a good girl image. At the end of the day, Whitney could not handle the fame, notoriety, and wealth. Looking back at her interview with Oprah, she opened up about the many “demons” she was battling. I hope and pray Whitney found the peace that alluded her while she lived on this earth. RIP Whitney.
Oh and I forgot to mentioned…the guest partied while her cold deceased body was still in the building. HOw insensitive. I wonder how Whitney’s family feel about all of this.
I agree with Chaka. I also read that Clive Davis was given the opportunity 3 hours before the party, to cancel or postpone and he chose not to. That somewhat surprised me because of their close relationship that spanned decades. But, it is Hollyweird and they do their own thing.
