Ex-Minnesota Viking, Darrion Scott Charged with Child Abuse

May 09, 2008

by Deputy Diva

Excuse me, can I get a few of the HickTown menfolk together to go and beat this clown’s behind?

What on earth would possess this big

6 foot 3,” 289 lb. goon to hold a dry cleaning bag over his son’s head and then claim he was “just playing”?

Apparently, this is not the first instance in which his son was allegedly abused by him either.

The child’s mother also reported that Scott brought the boy to her home at the end of March or early April and asked to bathe him to get the boy ready for bed. The woman said Scott had never before bathed the boy in her home. Scott dressed the boy in long pajamas, and the next morning the woman noted that the boy had marks on his arm and ear that appeared to be burns, the complaint said.

Click HERE for the full story.

I’m really outraged by this!  That boy didn’t ask to come into this world and just because his sperm donor’s NFL career has gone down the toilet, does not give him the right to take it out on that child.

This freak also apparently has a history of being in trouble with the law. He was arrested, this past December for Marijuana possession.  SOURCE

Karl “The Mailman” Malone Fathered Child with 13-Year Old

May 01, 2008
BET.com News reports,

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor underage girls prevents “The Mailman” from delivering.

 Karl Malone

Apparently, Karl Malone fathered a child with a girl who was a sophomore at Louisiana Tech and he was approximately 19 years old at the time. The woman’s name is Gloria Bell, who was only the tender age of 13 at that time.  Malone never claimed Demetrius Bell, as their son and still doesn’t.  What is ironic is that apparently the athletic genes were passed along to Demetrius Bell as he is Buffalo Bills rookie offensive tackle.

According to the Buffalo News,

The two have had very little contact during Bell’s life.

Bell didn’t even know Malone was his father until after graduating from high school. What really floored me is that:

when they finally met, Malone told the 18-year-old Bell it was too late to be his father, and that Bell would have to “earn his money on his own.”

Excuse me a moment!!!!!!, but Mr. Malone, you could have been brought up on statutory rape charges before this child was born. Gloria Bell has spared you embarrassment and child support litigation all these years. She has allowed you to go on to live a prosperous life, free of responsibility of raising your son. As a result you achieved superstardom status in the NBA.

Can someone please explain to me how it is “too late to be a father?” This young man didn’t ask to come here. He may not have had any positive male role models in life. Why not start by at least trying to simply be there and offer some simple guidance and work on establishing a relationship? Why would you assume now that it is too late to be his father and imply that he is somehow after your money? Malone, you truly earned the Bozo the Clown Award on this one. Thankfully Demetrius Bell’s athletic skills are earning him his own recognition as a professional athlete and it seems he may be even become a greater legend than his washed up sperm donor. Mayweather Beats BigShow at Wrestlemania

March 31, 2008

Uh…if you are not married, all I can say is, just wait! Your husband will have you watching all kinds of stuff. And yes, mine has gotten me into “wrestling”. LOL

Congrats to Floyd Mayweather for knocking out the giant, BigShow!

There were chairs, brass knuckles, yet not an illegal tactic in the bunch, as Floyd Mayweather’s WrestleMania XXIV appearance ended like most of his prize fights — with a knockout victory Sunday over Paul “Big Show” Wight.

Mayweather came back to the ring — with Wight’s assistance — after an early onslaught, then used some help from his cornermen to get a metal folding chair (with which he landed a series of shots) and a pair of brass knuckles (which he snatched off a fallen cornerman’s necklace).

He wrapped the brass knuckles around his right hand and landed one punch, prompting a 10-count victory before before a crowd of 74,635, which produced a WWE-record live gate of $5.85 million.

The match lasted 11 minutes, 44 seconds…

Rob Jones, Grandson of Cult Leader, Jim Jones is Excelling in Basketball

March 20, 2008

Everyone knows the deranged cult leader, Jim Jones. He was the demon possessed drug addict that commanded his silly, brainwashed followers to drink the Kool Aid, laced with poison.

Well his oldest son, Jim Jones, Jr. was able to escape death because he was in the states playing basketball at the time. Good news! His son, Rob Jones (Jim Jones’ grandson), is now a terrific basketball player with a promising future.

Check out the story:

Three decades after the horrific mass suicide-murder at Jonestown, it was good to be a Jones.

“The win was great, but when he did that, well, I’m a grumpy 47-year-old man and it brought a tear to my eye,” Jim Jones Jr. said. “Rob has just given me the opportunity to enjoy it again.”

Rob Jones feels no stigma about being the grandson of cult leader Jim Jones, who 30 years ago this November led more than 900 of his followers in a mass suicide in a South American jungle. When road crowds taunt him about drinking Kool-Aid, he turns it into motivation. He speaks openly about his family’s history.

“The reason I do is just to change the Jones name, you know, to keep a good association with the name now,” said Jones, whose underdog Toreros will face Connecticut on Friday in a first-round game in Tampa, Fla.

Simply put, Jim Jones Jr. wouldn’t be alive and Rob never would have been born if it weren’t for basketball.

After Jim Jones moved his Peoples Temple from San Francisco to Guyana in the late 1970s, his adopted son and others started a basketball team.

“That was our rebelliousness. We still wanted to be connected to the real world. We were Rob’s age,” Jones Jr. said.

Rob Jones knows the story.

“When it all happened, they happened to be out of town,” he said.

The Jonestown basketball team was playing in a tournament in Georgetown, Guyana, when the cult came to a violent end on Nov. 18, 1978.

California Rep. Leo Ryan went to the South American country to investigate whether Jones was holding people against their will. Some cult members chose to leave with Ryan but the party was ambushed. Ryan and four others were killed.

Jones ordered his other followers to commit suicide, and more than 900 members drank cyanide-laced, grape-flavored punch. Others were shot by guards loyal to Jones.

“My father wanted us to return when the congressman came back down there,” Jones Jr. said by phone this week from his home in Pacifica, near San Francisco. “In defiance, We said, ‘No.’ We wanted to play basketball. You can see why there was guilt around basketball.”

Jones lost several family members, including his first wife and their unborn child.

“I wouldn’t be alive if I wasn’t playing basketball,” he said. “With Robert playing basketball, it really kind of gave me the ability to enjoy the game again. I felt guilty. Your family dies, and whether it’s just or unjust, you still have the guilt of like, ‘If you were there, could you have changed destiny?’ The mechanisms of what occurred outweighed the influence that we would have had. I wouldn’t be alive if I was there.”

Jones returned to San Francisco and eventually remarried. He and wife Erin have two other sons, Ryan, 17, and Ross, 13.

Dwight Howard Wins Slam Dunk Competition

February 17, 2008

Are you a basketball fan? I paid very little attention to sports until getting married. My husband had me watching the Slam Dunk contest last night and wow, was I impressed. The best dunks are not on YouTube yet but I look forward to them being posted. Dwight Howard ultimately won. He was incredible!

To cap one of the most entertaining Saturday night shows in recent memory, Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic won the slam dunk contest in spectacular fashion, beating Minnesota’s Gerald Green in the final. Raptors rookie Jamario Moon was eliminated in the first round.

Howard wowed the crowd with a variety of imaginative dunks, scoring a perfect 100 in the two-dunk final. In perhaps his best, he tugged off his jersey to reveal a Superman shirt and then tied on a cape. He caught a long pass and took off from just inside the free throw line, soaring to the net.

“Before the dunk contest we all decided that we’re going to try to add as much flair and glare and personality as we could into the dunk contest this year,” Howard said. “We first got out there and the fans were kind of iffy, they didn’t really cheer. We just tried to do something to hype them up and loosen them up.

“I think the dunk contest is back.”

In Green’s most creative dunk, he placed a cupcake with a lit candle on top of the rim. Replays showed the T’Wolves forward blowing out the candle as he dunked the ball.

Moon, who was the first Raptor to participate in the dunk contest since Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady took part in 2000, had a decent first dunk, a one-handed 360 off his own bounce pass. On his second dunk, he taped off a mark two feet outside the free-throw line. Kapono tossed him the ball, but he ended up taking off from at least a foot from inside his marker.

“I’ve been happy since the day they invited me to be in it, I was just happy to be a part of it,” Moon said after.

“It was great, it was fun, Dwight was well-deserving of that trophy. That boy’s a clown, man,” he added. “He’s a kid at heart.

Roger Clemens Steroids Scandal Gets More and More Peculiar

February 13, 2008

YUCK! Evidence saved of Clemens steroid use

Have you been following the Clemens case? He denies steroid use. He claims that although his trainer (who is not a docotor) did inject something into his behind, he is not sure what exactly it was.

Now this story gets weird. The trainer actually SAVED evidence of the steroid use. He has old needles, etc. YUCK!

THEN, Clemens allowed his wife to fall on the sword. She is claiming that she was the one on steroids and that the trainer had shot her up with steroids and that the trainer somehow has the two of them confused? Huh? Oh, forget it!

US baseball star Roger Clemens, fighting to defend his reputation from doping allegations, denied any wrongdoing under oath Wednesday during intense questioning at a five-hour Congressional hearing.

Skeptical lawmakers said someone was lying and attacked the credibility of Clemens and his former trainer Brian McNamee, whose accusations that the 45-year-old pitcher is a dope cheat led to the dramatic hearing.

McNamee has said he had injected Clemens, regarded as one of the game’s all-time greatest, with steroids and human growth hormone (HGH) at least 16 times between 1998 and 2001 in a probe into baseball doping by former Senator George Mitchell that was released two months ago.

“I injected those drugs into the body of Roger Clemens at his direction,” McNamee told the hearing. “I now believe that the number of times I injected Roger Clemens was actually greater than I initially stated.

“I did not want to destroy Roger Clemens. I was hoping this issue would just fade away.”

However, Clemens said the syringes used by McNamee contained only vitamin B-12 and the painkiller lidocaine.

Life is Looking Up for Michael Vick

February 04, 2008

Good news for Michael Vick. I’ve been clear about the fact that while I understand he was quite wrong for fighting those dogs, I don’t want his life ruined and I don’t want him in bankruptcy. A judge has ruled in his favor regarding his money!

Jailed quarterback Michael Vick can keep all but $3.75 million of the nearly $20 million in bonus money he received from the Atlanta Falcons following a ruling Monday by a federal judge. The Falcons sought to recover the bonuses after Vick pleaded guilty to federal charges in a dogfighting operation. The bonuses were paid from 2004-07.

A special master ruled in October the Falcons were entitled to recover the bonuses. The Falcons argued Vick used proceeds from a contract he signed in 2004 to finance his illicit activities.

But U.S. District Judge David Doty of Minneapolis ruled that recovery of most of the bonus money by the Falcons would violate the NFL collective bargaining agreement. The agreement does not allow roster bonus money to be forfeited once it’s been earned, the judge wrote.

Vick received a 23-month jail sentence and entered a minimum-security prison in Leavenworth, Kan., last month. The league has suspended Vick indefinitely without pay.

“It makes no sense that an individual who willfully violates his contract is entitled to be paid tens of millions of dollars even though he is in jail and providing no services whatsoever to his employer,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said.

Vick’s personal attorney, Lawrence Woodward Jr., said Vick was happy with the ruling but understands there could be appeals.

Michael Jordan Being Stalked

February 01, 2008

To the young boys out there who “want to be like Mike”, I’d say think twice about that. Not only did he cheat on his wife constantly during their marriage, he spent no significant time with her or their family. After he retired the first time, he claimed that he was going to spend time with his family. That never happened. Within a month or less he was off chasing a career in baseball.

Juanita Jordan finally got smart and divorced his gambling butt. Oh, and that’s another thing. He has gambling issues but according to him, “I can stop anytime I want”. Yeah, right. Where have I heard that before?

And look at what he cheated on his wife with, everyone!

Lisa A. Miceli has been claiming that former NBA basketball great Michael Jordan is the father of her 3-year-old son. Jordan has always denied being the boy’s father, and two paternity tests back him up.

Jordan submitted to the first test, in 2004, after Miceli filed action to establish paternity and to get Jordan to pay child support. The test excluded Jordan as the father.

The second test, conducted by a lab agreed upon by both parties after Miceli challenged the results, also excluded Jordan as the father.

An agreement before the second test required Miceli to have no further contact if the results showed Jordan was not the father. Miceli has ignored the agreement by sending more than 400 emails to Jordan and his reps, and placing hundreds of calls, leaving over 200 voice mails.

Michael Jordan is now fighting back, filing a suit claiming Lisa A. Miceli’s communications have turned violent and threatening. The suit seeks a court order barring Miceli from having any further contact with Jordan, his family, his representatives and their family members.

Oh, so he is being stalked now, huh? Keep it in your pants, Michael! Had you not cheated on your wife, none of these chickens would have come home to roost

Does “Miss Anne” Ever Get Fired?

January 25, 2008

I’m starting to wonder what it takes to fire “Miss Anne”. By “Miss Anne”, I am referring to white women. It appears that there is nothing a white woman can do to get herself fired—especially white women who are in the sports world.

I recently reported on Kelly Tilghman who received a tap on the wrist for saying that the confused Tiger Woods should be lynched in an alley. Of all the verbage she could have used, she went straight to lynching, an act associated with blacks.

Now we have Dana Jacobson   making inappropriate remarks about Jesus Christ. Yet, there she is, still in her job after being suspended (with pay, I bet) for a week.

A dozen protesters marched in front of ESPN headquarters in Bristol today, calling for the firing of on-air personality Dana Jacobson for comments she made at a recent roast.

Jacobson, co-host of the “ESPN First Take” morning show, was disciplined by her employer after an expletive-laden speech. She was suspended one week.

The protesters, some from local churches, carried placards with messages that read: “ESPN , Say No to Hate Speech,” and “Fairness in the Media.”

Robert Muckle, 77, drove from Waterbury to Bristol to take part in the protest after reading about Jacobson’s remarks in the newspaper.

“It’s such a shame to disgrace Jesus and to take his name in vain,” Muckle said.
