Lust cannot be satisfied

Lust1Do you know sign language? The sign for lust is the same as the sign for thirst. And it makes sense. Lust cannot be satisfied just as thirst cannot really ever be satisfied. Walk a block. Thirst. Exercise. Thirst. Go an hour without liquids. Thirst. Thirst cannot be satisfied—not really, and neither can lust.

What is gambling? Lust. And therefore gambling is a addictive. People gamble because they lust for money and the thrill of a win.

What is pornography? Lust. Lust of the flesh.

What is adultery and fornication? Lust. And it cannot be satisfied when allowed to get out of hand.

Tiger Woods has learned a valuable lesson. His lust has probably cost him a happy marriage and family life. Reports are that his wife has moved out of the home. Can you blame her? He has been accused of sleeping with multiple women since their marriage and at least one of them is a porn star. That’s serious. Think of the diseases he was potentially exposing his wife to.

Poor Tiger. He also has a really sick lust for white women. Can’t get enough of them. And that lust cannot be satisfied. LINK

Tiger, you’d do good to put a lock on it and tame it. Lust must be dealt with from the root because lust cannot be satisfied.

President Obama speaks to homosexuals
Lynn | October 10, 2009 | 8:34 pm | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 5 Comments

I am a supporter of Barack Obama.  I’ve been very clear about that.  However, I’ve also been very clear about the fact that I DO NOT embrace all of his views.

For example, homosexuality is a sin.  I won’t even waste your time or mine looking up scriptures to prove the obvious.  A former pastor of  mine would often say, “If you are confused about who and what you are, stand naked in front of a mirror.  That will give you a hint as to who you are”.

Homosexuals are fully aware of the fact that their lifestyle is not normal and that it is sinful, just as adulterers know that they are in sin.  One of the reasons so many homosexuals are so angry and aggressive is due to their rebellion. It’s a spirit of rebellion that they are functioning under.  Most homosexuals live day in and day out in depression.

Be that as it may, I do not agree with one word of anything that Barack Obama said tonight in his address to homosexuals.

Actually, I do agree with one thing.  Homosexuals DO have the right to serve in the military.  They already are in there.  As long as they don’t start pushing themselves off on heterosexuals who have no interest in them, I see no problem with it.

But for him to say that he wants to lift the ban on allowing HIV infected people to come into this country is a bit much.  Why further infect this country with promiscuity and disease?  And I know for a fact that marriage is solely a union between a man and a woman so let’s not even play games by pretending otherwise.

Open up a bible, Barack!  Stop living by your man made laws and rules.  Obama said that all of us should be free to love as we see fit.  Well what happens when a man starts fighting for the “right” to marry his dog? Where does it end?

Open the bible and read up on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Shame on Sheila Johnson for mocking stutterer
Lynn | October 7, 2009 | 6:05 am | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 7 Comments

I have two degrees in speech/language pathology. That means that I have an expertise in the area of disorders of communication. My title is Speech-Language Pathologist.

As an SLP (as we are called) I have seen first hand the humiliation and devastation that people who stutter suffer. Can you imagine opening up your mouth and having no idea what will come out of it? Can you imagine having a disorder that is neurologically based, which means that if you don’t grow out of it, you may have it forever? Can you imagine being 30, 40, 50 years old—a professional who has been through years and years of therapy for help and relief, yet….in spite of thinking you were “free” of the disorder, you realize it has come back on you?

All of us stutter sometimes. It happens when we are nervous. And when you think of your stuttering moments, can’t you remember how out of control you felt, knowing that you could not stop yourself in that moment? I remember in college when I stuttered through a speech. And I am NOT a stutterer! Ironically, my speech was on the topic of stuttering. LOL! That was the first and last time I was ever nervous speaking in front of a group.

The unfortunate plight of millions out here who suffer from dysfluency disorders is that their stuttering is not situational. They have to live with it, day in and day out. Therefore, when I heard the clip above, it reminded me of when I was a child learning one of my first lessons. My mother taught me that you NEVER laugh at or mock a disordered person. But isn’t that just simple common sense?

I’ve really lost a great deal of respect for Sheila Johnson. She really stooped low with that one and it was not necessary.

Obama Attackers to be banned from Hicktown
Lynn | September 19, 2009 | 12:14 pm | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 4 Comments

Okay, one thing I know for sure is that I am perfectly clear when I communicate. Communication is my strength and I have TWO degrees in the area of communication. It’s one of the things I do best.

No one reading this blog could possibly miss the following about me:

a. I am opinionated, hot headed (Sonny from the “Godfather”), stubborn, stuck in my ways, and extremely opinionated. Oops, did I already say that?

b. I LOVE and FAVOR my readers who agree with me (isn’t that normal?) and have been known to block, delete and/or edit comments from my opposition (I’m working on this because I know that’s awful) and I’ve been known to ban my opposition (working on it, trust me!) LOL!!! Yes, I’m imperfect.

c. I am brutally honest and moody. Straight forward. Don’t “sugar coat”. At times, short fuse. Again, I’m honest enough to admit I’m not perfect.

d. I am conservative. I believe in the death penalty. I am against abortion (keep your legs closed and wait until your wedding night! STOP killing innocent babies, hussy).

e. I agree with scripture and believe that marriage is between a man and a woman

And so on and so forth…

It is impossible to spend 10 seconds on this blog and not notice the things above about me.

In spite of that, I purposely chose two deputies (Diva and Monica C) who often disagree with me, which proves that I am trying to get better in that area. And I have a ton of Hicktowners who challenge me.

PLUS, I married a moderate. He is not nearly conservative, trust me. Never a dull moment at my dinner table.

I have a soft place in my heart for Hicktowners. Cop or DeeLove can challenge me and I’ll just ignore it and move on.

BUT…these new folks who roll up in here trying to change my views reaaaaaaally annoy me. (I’m trying!)

Now, I love Barack Obama. Do I embrace all of his views? NO! Do I agree 100% with him on everything? NO! The alternative was John McCain. No, thanks!

The quickest way for a newby to get banned out of here (literally) is to come in here bad mouthing our president. I will BLOCK and edit or delete negative comment about him. Why, you ask? It’s because he is receiving 30 death threats a day (the highest in history) simply because he is black.

I refuse to allow this blog to be used as a place to further attack this man. Take it elsewhere or start your own blog. Both Blogger.com and Wordpress.com offer FREE blogs for you so you can even start off paying nothing if you don’t have the money.

I’ve been getting emails trying to convince me to write a negative articles about the president. NO! And if you keep sending me those emails, I’ll block your email address. Stop contacting me with that mess.

Those who hate Obama, feel free to hate him. Just don’t bring it here and don’t try to include me because I’m in support of him. Period. Don’t like it? STAY OFF MY BLOG! Otherwise, I’ll block you out of here, plain and simple. Was that clear enough? Again, communication is my strength.

Whitney Interview
Lynn | September 15, 2009 | 6:38 am | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 7 Comments

I noticed that all over the internet people are removing the video due to copyright claim. Therefore, I removed Part I of the interview.

I saw Part I of Whitney Houston’s interview with Oprah. I am THRILLED that she is away from Bobby Brown and that she now can get herself together while living a clean and healthy life.

This is one of the saddest cases I’ve ever seen. A woman spent a good 10-15 years of her life in a drug induced stupor, while married to an abusive man who actually SPIT in her face as a way to “thank her” for giving him a birthday party. What a load of crap she was married to.

Let us pray that she now can get her voice back in top shape and move forward. Two thumbs up to her mother, who never gave up on her and who brought law enforcement with her to get Whitney out of that drug hell that she was in!

Caster Semenya and the controversy around her
Lynn | September 11, 2009 | 11:59 am | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays, Sports News | 3 Comments

caster1The person in the picture  is Caster Semenya.  To look at the picture without background knowledge, one would conclude that Caster is a man.  However, Caster is actually a hermaphrodite who identifies as a woman.  The best description that I have seen of Caster’s condition is found by pressing  HERE

Now let us look at Caster.  Caster is not a homosexual or transvestite.  She (which I’ll call her since that is how she identifies) is actually a victim.  Something went horribly wrong when she was in her mother’s womb and now she has imbedded testes, no womb and no ovaries.

My homosexual, transvestite, and “alternative lifestyles” readers really get annoyed, agitated and angry with me every time I label Caster but we live in a world full of labels.  I’ve gotten some nasty emails and attempts to put ugly comments on this blog. (Don’t even try it!)

Having said that, I want to make it clear to my homosexual audience that I have no issues with you or with Caster.  But it is totally unrealistic to treat this situation with a shrug of the shoulders as though it’s no big deal. In fact, it is a huge deal.  Huge.

My focus has shifted to Caster’s health.  Because testicles that are not descended cause cancer, Caster MUST have them removed.  So the silver lining here is that her life has been saved by this revelation—as humiliating as it must be to the 18 year old.

For Caster, once those testes are removed, the hormonal level will decrease and the testosterone will no longer give her the advantage she now has over women.  It will be interesting to see whether or not she maintains her skill level after the surgery. Hopefully she will.

Again, I wish Caster the best and I go on record to say that I DO NOT want Caster to lose her medals.  She should be allowed to keep them.  However, no more competition until after the surgery.  That will make the playing field more level.

And for the sake of her health, I hope that she has the surgery soon.

Actress Maia Campbell in need of prayer
Lynn | September 4, 2009 | 10:51 am | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 13 Comments

MaiaMy husband made me aware of a video depicting Maia Campbell acting really, really crazy. I had heard about her being bipolar but after viewing that video, I now believe she might actually be a schizophrenic. I cannot get down on her because she is very, very mentally ill.    Link

What I find heart breaking is the fact that looking at the video, she clearly has fallen into the hands of some scary characters who are beating and prostituting her. It is heart breaking to watch.
BebeHer mother is no longer alive. Her late mother is Bebe Moore Campbell who was a writer who appeared in Essence magazine for many years.

Her last book is titled, Seventy Two Hour Hold   and here is its description:

“Seventy Two Hour Hold is the story of Keri, a woman caught up in a love triangle between her ex-husband and her actor boyfriend. Her world is shattered when her beloved child develops a mental illness. Unable to get the help she needs from the mental health system, Keri joins forces with the volatile Bethany, whose daughter is also unstable. Fed up, the two take to the road in search of the healing for their children promised by a band of radical underground mental health workers. Their arduous journey tries their souls in every way imaginable but ultimately leads both women to a greater understanding of what it means to love unconditional.”

Her mother would be devastated to see her daughter in such a dire condition. My guess is that her father and step father and ex husband are not helping her because they are practicing “tough love”. Sorry, but there are times when intervention is necessary because tough love does not work with the mentally ill. They have a brain disorder. Her brain disorder is made worse by the fact that she refuses to take her meds and she is self medicating with hard drugs.

Before her death, Bebe said this about her daughter:

Watching my loved one become violent and an incoherent stranger certainly tested my faith. My very close family member has bipolar disorder, which is a mood disorder – a disease of the brain.
We were at a hotel together and my loved one flew into a rage. The next thing I knew, all of my suitcases were outside the hotel door. In my mind came the words “She’s sick, she’s sick.” It just kept echoing. I recognized that this was indeed a mental illness and I had absolutely no control over it, that I would have to let go or I would be destroyed.

I didn’t know what was wrong, but throwing me out of the hotel room really crystallized that this was indeed a mental problem. When I began to see the early manifestations of early bipolar disorder, I went into denial. I told myself, “This is something she will outgrow. This is a phase, etc.”

But once I recognized that this was a sickness, being in denial, I didn’t talk about it outside of the family and I forbid anyone else talking about it.  This is our secret.

GO HERE  to read the remainder of that article

Mental illness is often not dealt with or discussed in the black community but insanity is no joke. It cannot be swept under a rug.

Below is the video of Maia acting the way drug addicted insane people are expected to behave. It’s indeed prayer time because her mother is not here to do so on her behalf:    [LANGUAGE  WARNING]

RIP to Whitney’s Voice
Lynn | August 27, 2009 | 9:31 pm | Entertainment, Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 5 Comments

I will never forget the first time I ever heard Whitney sing. Her vocal gift was indeed a rarity—a gift straight out of heaven. Vocally, one could say that she was flawless. In my opinion the most beautiful singing voice on a woman in my lifetime.

If the gorgeous voice was not enough, the girl was breathtakingly beautiful. And thin. She had it all.

But I started hearing rumors. Drugs. Lesbianism. Dating losers like Eddie Murphy—and then, dating the ultimate loser, Bobby Brown.

Why? And the why is not simply regarding Whitney. The why is about women in general. Why do so many decent women choose bums, losers, drug addicts and nutcases to date? Not to mention the thugs. Why?

Whitney could have had her choice of men. She could have married sooo well. Instead, she settled for Bobby Brown of all people and her life took a horrifying turn.

It was painful seeing her drop down to what appeared to be 85 pounds. It was painful to read about her drug issues. During that period her interviews were painful to watch. It was painful to hear that she was losing teeth and getting dentures. It was painful to see her and Bobby acting CRAZY out in public. It was painful to see her family in pain as they stood by hopelessly praying and begging this woman to discontinue the self destruction. It was painful watching this superstar’s reputation drain down the tubes. It was painful watching clips from her “reality show”. Wow, how GHETTO and LOW! Just painful. I refused to watch the full show. Too painful.

And mostly—during that dark time, it was painful to hear her sing. Painful to hear such a perfect voice ravaged by abuse and cigarettes and heaven only knows what else.

CNN reported the following about her voice on her new CD:

Houston’s famous voice, which now sounds husky and glottal, as if her vocal cords were sent through a washer-dryer cycle with a handful of small rocks, brings a gravity that the album’s often generically worded ballads lack.

Just painful, folks. I’ll leave it at that.

Missing Michael and won’t be covering his trial
Lynn | August 24, 2009 | 8:42 pm | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 3 Comments

As you all are aware, Michael Jackson is in the news. His death has been ruled a homicide.

I’ll just say up front that I am still actively grieving his death. Got all teary eyed about him today while driving home. Like many of you out there, I grew up with this man and view him no differently than I would an eccentric cousin.

Do a search of his name and you will find that I was hard on him at times—-just as I would have been to a family member. But my being hard on him was my way of saying, “STOP ACTING CRAZY AND WAKE UP!” I was hoping against hope that Michael would return to himself.

He was a strikingly handsome child and teen and even into his early twenties. So sorry he did not see it and no one could convince him otherwise. Sorry he hated being black. Sorry for so much about this man.

I’m both upset and horribly disappointed that my wish—that he would return to himself—the normal person he was when he was young, was never granted.

Be that as it may, I won’t be covering the dramatic events pertaining to his death or the trial that will certainly take place. Too painful. Michael isn’t just somebody. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

If anyone comes to this thread bad mouthing, peeing on a dead man’s grave, you’ll be promptly banned. I just thought it would be fair to warn you. If you have nothing kind to say, hold your peace/piece or take it somewhere else.

The week following his shocking death, I basically shut down this blog and dedicated a week to covering positive aspects about him. I said all I have to say there.

Now as I continue dealing with my personal grief, I’ll post one of my absolutely favorite Michael songs. He was 10 at the time, a musical phenom if ever there was one. Especially gifted by God.

Love you Mike! Miss you!

Harriet Tubman said, “Live North or Die here”
Lynn | August 22, 2009 | 10:45 am | Lynn's Thoughts & Essays | 4 Comments

At times along the way to freedom, some of those she rescued would become frightened and want to turn back. Harriet would not hear of this. Often she would admonish those wanting to turn back at gunpoint, saying, “Live North, or die here.”

SOURCE

Harriet1Poor Harriet Tubman. Can you imagine what she went through, trying to free a group of bound, abused slaves, only to have many of them turn coat and try to go home to “massa”?

Keep in mind that they knew that upon returning to their abuser they would get a horrible beating and possibly endure death by massa.  Harriet knew that if they returned home, they would “snitch” and ruin what she was doing on the Underground Railroad.

Nothing has changed. We still have a group of terrified negroes, coons, buffoons, jigaboos, and lawn jockeys who are running scared and trying to take other blacks down.

I wonder how many scared negroes Harriet eventually had to take down? How many did she have to put out of their misery like rabid dogs?

Harriet2There is no legal way to put the scared negroes down in our day and age, so those of us who are fearless just have to endure them. Many of them bring their scared behinds to this blog. Why, I don’t know.  At the rate that I ban them out of here, you’d think that they would stay away from here. But scared negroes have no shame nor pride.

There are several types of scared negroes running loose and bringing a scourge onto the entire culture. I present them in no particular order:

Thuglife1. The criminal – Yes, they are actually cowards. Proof that they are cowards is the fact that those punks carry weapons with them every place they go. They use those weapons to prey upon the community by robbing, stealing, raping, burglarizing, and a vast array of other insane crimes that only a coward would engage in. They are too sorry to finish school or get any type of education and they would never consider a job. They’d rather prostitute themselves by standing on a corner selling drugs or intimidating law abiding citizens with their “no snitch” crap.

Further proof that black criminals are cowards is the fact that they are scared to go into the white community or anyone else’s community with that mess. They prey on little old ladies by snatching their purses and they prey on their own people like pitt bulls and snakes.

Harriet would take down and put these vermin to sleep. It’s a shame that we cannot do the same.

falseprohet22. Fake ministers/clergy – This group of clowns are too terrified to do their mess up front. So they put on a clergy collar and hide behind robes. While hiding behind their bibles and gear, they dupe “silly women” out of their money (including rent money and mortgage) while they drive around in expensive cars with their mistresses. Take a look at the “false shepherds” section of this blog and you will see a slew of them. Everything from murderers to child molesters to womanizers and abusers to thieves. Straight up thugs preying upon the black community. Again, Harriet had a permanent solution for these scaredy cats.

Lawn_Jockey_White3. Crabs in a barrel – Where do I begin with this group of cowards? These punks are so scared that they are terrified to see others do well. These are lawn jockeys and jigaboos who will go after another black person who is doing positive things in the community. They will see a black person helping black youth get involved with something positive such as sports and instead of helping, they will go after that person to try to bring him down. They’ll make comments such as, “Why put black children in sports? Why not help them with education?” It’s always some scheme with this do-nothing crew. This group of cowards have nothing to offer beyond lip service but will try throw a wrench in the good that others are doing. They are disgusting. Jesus Himself had to deal with this type of individual. They would see Him doing good, but instead of helping, they’d bad mouth Him. Whew!

4. Lip Service Crew – This group is very similar to the “Crabs in a barrel” category. In fact, they fit both categories, generally. All talk and no action. They talk non-stop and bloviate on how great they view themselves. As James Brown would say, “Talking loud and saying nothing”. They will spout out about all that’s problematic in society but when you ask them what they are doing, you are met with silence or more pompous garbage. They are not involved with any organized service groups. They don’t go to church—and if they do, they are not active. And they don’t help out in the community. All they do is run their mouths. They are a sickening bunch of useless cowards.

condi_whitey5. The “massa” Lover – This group would have lasted about 2 hot seconds around Harriet. They spend their entire lives catering to and ingratiating themselves to “massa”. There are several of them in the blogosphere. Black bloggers whose entire blogs are written specifically to “massa”—soothing his conscience while selling blacks down the river.

And there is another subset of this group that I write about often. There are a group of black women on the internet who have formed a group. The purpose of their group is to convince black women that white men are their perfect, angelic saviors and that if they would date and marry white men, all their problems of life would be over.

Never mind the fact that very few black women are interested in white men romantically. Never mind the fact that most white men—if they go outside of their race, they are searching out Asian women. Never mind the fact that the divorce rate in the white community is at least 50% and growing. Never mind the fact that most serial killers are white males. Never mind the fact that white men have their own set of issues. Don’t believe it? Ask white women! They’ll tell you.

Again, these Massa Lovers had better be glad they never encountered Harriet.

I could go on and on about these cowards who are a scourge on the black community but they’ve taken up plenty of my time. How to deal with them? Call them out. Expose them. Don’t play into their hands or their mess. Don’t enter in with them. And don’t allow them to stop you from continuing on the positive course that you are on.

Like Miss Tubman, continue doing the good and positive that you are doing. You can’t kill the cowards but you certainly can give that bunch of trash a piece of your mind and kick them out of your way like the garbage that they are.

Harriet said, “Live North or die”.  I choose to live North!
