Rev. Al Sharpton Calls for National Prayer Today at 3 pm for Sean Bell Verdict
May 07, 2008The Reverend Al Sharpton called in the “Steve Harvey Morning Show” earlier this morning to announce that a prayer vigil will be held today throughout New York City, as well as in other major cities like Chicago and Atlanta to pray that justice will be served through the pending federal investigation of the case. He is also asking that those who are physically unable to attend one of the vigils still stand in prayer later today against police brutality and misconduct. Additionally, prayers for a hedge of protection around the community-at large against future incidents like these are very much needed and welcome.
