I have been holding off saying anything regarding Annie Le. She was due to be married today but instead, her body was found today—in a wall in a building on the Yale campus.
When reports surfaced that she entered the building (and was caught on camera) but never exited, I knew that it was not good and that she would be found in that building.
Wishing peace to her loved ones regarding this horrific tragedy and sincerely hoping that her murderer is caught sooner rather than later, as he is a very, very dangerous being.

Investigators probing the disappearance of Yale graduate student Annie Le have declared the case a homicide, police said Sunday.
New Haven, Connecticut, police said they found the remains of a person inside the Amistad Building of Yale University and they assume it is Le.
Le was last seen on a Yale security camera entering a medical research building at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Authorities have not found images of her leaving the building.
The 24-year-old was to be married Sunday in Long Island, New York.

Listening to the radio today, I heard about Henry Louis Gates, Jr. being arrested and forgot to report it. Thanks to Andrea for reminding me:

A distinguished black Harvard University professor was handcuffed and dragged off his porch to jail after Massachusetts cops mistook him for a burglar.

Henry Louis Gates Jr., one of the nation’s most renowned scholars of African-American history, was busted when he repeatedly accused a cop of racism for confronting him, police said.

“Why, because I’m a black man in America?” Gates, 58, demanded, the police report said.

“I warned Gates to calm down, but Gates ignored my warning and continued to yell at me,” Cambridge Sgt. James Crowley wrote. “It was at this time that I informed Gates he was under arrest.”

??? Is freedom of speech outlawed now? And even on your own property?

Furthermore, why were they assuming that this black man was breaking into his own house?

Gates heads Harvard’s W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African-American Research. He was also host of “African American Lives,” a PBS series in which he traced the roots of black celebs, including Oprah Winfry and Morgan Freeman. Time magazine has named him one of the 25 most influential Americans.

Despite his fame, Crowley, who is white, didn’t recognize Gates, prompting the prominent academic to yell, “You don’t know who you’re messing with!”

Go get ‘em Rev. Al! The man was arrested for daring to call someone a racist and clearly that is what Gates’ opinion of the man was—that’s his right as an American, to have opinions.

In a statement last night, the Rev. Al Sharpton called Gates’ arrest “an outrage of no small implication.”

“I have heard of driving while black and even shopping while black, but now even going to your own home while black is a new low in police community affairs,” said Sharpton, who is vowing to attend Gates’ Aug. 26 arraignment.

Five police officers were shot during violent exchanges of gunfire with suspects that closed blocks of Jersey City streets and evacuated residents.

The five police officers were reportedly shot and are being treated at Jersey City Medical Center in various conditions.

The most seriously injured is in critical condition in the emergency room. He arrived at the hospital in traumatic arrest.

Of the other four:

One was shot in the neck. He has a torn ligament and a bruise to the face.

One was shot in the arm.

One was shot in the bullet resistant vest

And the fifth is the original gun shot wound to the leg.

Michael Jackson’s mother filed a petition Monday in Los Angeles Probate Court seeking legal guardianship of her son’s three children, CNN has confirmed.

Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, told CNN on Sunday evening that he and his wife expected to keep the children.

GREAT NEWS! Criminal, Bernie Madoff just received 150 years. I was actually hoping for 200 years, but I’ll accept the 150. LOL! He was asking for 11 years. Can you believe that?

A federal judge sentenced Bernard Madoff, the convicted mastermind of the largest and most sweeping Ponzi scheme ever, to the maximum sentence of 150 years in federal court Monday.

Judge Denny Chin of U.S. District Court in New York announced the sentence just moments after Madoff apologized to his victims.

Chin said the maximum sentence was important for deterrence, and also for the victims, many of whom erupted into applause after the judge announced the sentence. Many hugged and some of them broke down in tears.

Shortly before he received his sentence, Madoff offered an apology.

“I live in a tormented state for all the pain and suffering I created,” he said. “I left a legacy of shame. It is something I will live with for the rest of my life.”

Turning to face some of his victims, Madoff addressed them directly: “Saying I’m sorry is not enough. I turn to face you. I know it will not help. I’m sorry.”

Madoff said he was not asking for forgiveness and not offering any excuses for his behavior.

“How can you excuse betraying thousands of investors?” he asked. “How can you excuse deceiving hundreds of employees? How can you excuse lying to and deceiving your wife who still stands by you?”

Victims had urged the judge to dole out the stiffest punishment possible. “We implore you to give the maximum sentence at a maximum prison for this deplorable low life,” said one of the victims in court before Madoff spoke. “This is a violent crime without a tangible weapon.”

Even though I get on Michael about his eccentric behavior, I want to make it clear that I LOVE this man.

I’ve said before on this blog that I would be devastated if something happened to him. It would be like losing a cousin.  I’m praying. Those of you who know the Word of God, PLEASE PRAY for this man.

One of my favorite songs by him is “You are Not Alone” and I hope he knows that.

CNN is reporting that this jerk, Mark Sanford, has finally returned his adulterous behind home after his obviously hot affair with his nasty little mistress.

Did the two of them come up for air for even a minute so he could call home? Are you telling me that things got so freaky that he could not pull himself away long enough to put people’s minds at ease? If anyone has pictures of that mistress of his, would you email them to me, please?

His wife asked his butt to leave two weeks ago as a result of his cheating. Leaving is fine but he should have been man enough to at least tell folks where he was.

Look at the video above. How inappropriate was it for him to give his adultery speech with those immature teens behind him, giggling and acting like clowns? Is this man sane?

One more thing. After humiliating his family the way he did, would you believe that this hypocrite had the gall to ask that cameras not follow his family? First of all, HE put them in that position, okay?
