At 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 3rd my special guest on my radio program will be Daniel Stockin. He is a 20 year career public health professional with a background in toxics assessment and hazmat.

Hello HickTowners!

Daddy Jesus’ birthday is coming up and I’m getting teary eyed already. Well, actually it’s not His real birthday and He does not really celebrate birthdays but we will acknowlege it on December 25th, 2007.

HickTown does have some non-Christian residents but the town Sheriff (that would be me) and many other residents are Christians. And Jesus reigns supreme here!

In celebration of Big Pappa’s birthday, I’d like to have FIVE HickTowners volunteer to do a radio program with me on Saturday, December 15th, 2007 @ 12:00 noon.

Concentration of the show? To uplift the name of Jesus Christ and to simply brag on Pappa. The Man is Great and He has been good to me. Hasn’t He been good to you?

Gordon Saxe, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D.
Assistant professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and a member of the Moores Cancer Center at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Saxe received his M.P.H. in Nutrition at Tulane University, his Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan, and his M.D. at Michigan State University. He completed residency training in preventive medicine at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Saxe’s research has focused on the role of diet and lifestyle factors in breast and prostate cancer. His current research focuses on whether adoption of a plant-based diet, reinforced by stress reduction, can slow the progression
of recurrent prostate cancer.

On Friday, October 12th @ 7:00 p.m (eastern standard time) Reuben Armstrong will be a guest on the program, HickTown Radio. He will discuss his book, Snakes in the Pulpit.

This book is an interesting, quick read. I should finish it this weekend. However, I understand that several of you are just ordering it so we won’t start discussing it just yet.

Attention Round Table Participants!

I’ll be attending my aunt’s funeral on Thursday morning. She was 83 years old and had lived a blessed life. She is in Heaven with the Lord now so I thank God for her and for the fact that she is at peace with Him.

On Thursday evening I plan to map out the Round Table topics and get everything organized. I’ll email the plan to you all on Thursday night or Friday morning.

Basically, I will address a question to a person, have the person answer and anyone else who cares to respond, may do so or not.

Each person will receive questions as the primary responder and others are welcome to chime in. That will ensure everyone an opportunity to speak.

I don’t want to blindside anyone so I’ll get the questions to you ahead of time.
