If you are anything like me, you truly HOPED that this carnival of Bynum & Weeks was over. After all, the man almost stomped theĀ living daylights out of her and then went around insinuating that she was insane, put their personal business out in the street, and wrote a tell all book.
Well, maybe he is correct about her sanity—or lack therof. Check this out:
There was yet another twist in the saga between televangelist Juanita Bynum and her estranged husband, Bishop Thomas Weeks III, this one involved text messages. Weeks said Thursday, March 13, 2008, that many things went into his guilty plea, including text messages he says came from Bynum pleading with him to stop the case from going to trial.
“This is something nobody wants to go through,” said Weeks.
Weeks said anyone who thinks he got off lightly with three years probation following his guilty plea to assaulting his wife, Bynum should walk a mile in his shoes.
“I don’t know if it’s a slap on the wrist. Essentially, there was a lot that went into this. Six and a half months. No one knows the pain and penalty of your name being drug through the media at different levels, different ways,” said Weeks.
The 40 year-old minister said one of the reasons he was speaking out was because he wanted people to know the full story.
Weeks shared text messages with FOX 5 that he said Bynum sent him Monday night after seeing him for her deposition in their divorce, just hours before his trial was to start.
The text message Weeks said came from Bynum read, “Today in that room I felt us!!!! The us we were when we first got married!!!!!!!! “Wesley, we can come back from this…as long as we got each other and we are willing to face the truth about each other, we can be bigger than we ever was….”
The text concluded, “God can rebuild what we have…plz don’t let this go to trial…plz protect us…you can turn all of this around…I still believe in you!!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.”
What can I say, ya’ll? The girl has issues…SOURCE
Hat tip to HickTowner, Ella for the carnival update

American Idol
Tiger Woods
As I was reading the text message I could hear the love theme from Romeo & Julet playing in the backround. And then (hold on people) I shed a tear.
I can see it now. Hand and hand fleasing the flock, twisting the word and acting a fool. ALL in the name of love(love of money to pay taxes and over due bills)
Week Tommie & the Bulldog could have a happy ending. But just in this life for now.
I am so going to throw up already. Sheesh!
Just a way to make more money off of STUPID people. She is all about the mighty dollar. If I was his ass I would run for the hills. Yea, he beat her and he was wrong but if I were him I would not go back to her. He has a problem and she brings out that problem so unless he wants to go to jail he better stay clear of her. One of my favorite saying ‘Don’t play with sin – it will take you were you don’t intend to go, keep you longer then you intend to stay and cost you more then you are willing to pay’. I’m just saying…..
“We can be bigger than we ever was….” Part of me doesn’t want to believe that she can be so lost that she would even make this statement. But based on how both of them have handled themselves I wouldn’t put it past either of them to try to make mo money, mo money, mo money out of this!!
BTW, why is he posting her text messages? What kind of ‘man’ is this? He is acting like the ‘girly man’ people say that he is.
If what happened in the parking lot happened the way HE said it happened there is no way in the world that he should have pleaded guilty to this charge if he didn’t do what she says he did! (I know that I would’t have, but then again I wouldn’t need to push my wife off me either!)
Hey ‘Bishop’, you are guilty of assaulting (beating) your wife. You just pleaded guilty to this! Either you are lying now or you were lying when you denied doing this.
Either way He is now offically the liar and woman beater that he said he wasn’t. What prohibits him from now stepping down from ALL MINISTRY???? It doesn’t appear that he is even considering that! What arrogance and conceit!
Somebody needs to let the ‘Bishop’ know, ony Jesus Saves! He can’t save Juanita, he needs to worry about saving himself!
My predection, God is not through with these clowns yet. They are playing with the WRONG God here!!!!
Same Circus, different clowns!!!!
That is prediction, not predection…..

Sad, sad, sad.
Just think of all the money, time and energy that was wasted on these two…
I watched the entire interview and I must say that some disturbed yet some really encouraged. It encouraged me to know that there is someone that she is able to speak with, “her counselor” and prayerfully her counselor is a woman of God and one of wisdom. I can relate to having songs help you through some of your weakest moments. Juanita seemed almost real when she was sharing the songs from “Hairspray” that brought her through one of the most difficult times of her life.
However, (and no I am not picking) what bothered me were the prideful words/phrase “my ministry” and until she let’s that go, God will continue to cause her to be humbled. I truly believe that Juanita loves God; she truly has a call of God on her life. And though Monica kept calling her an Evangelist, I know that Juanita has a true call of a prophet on her life. A prophet is not his/her own but is totally surrendered to the Lord and until she gets that point she will continue to go down a hard unecessary road. However, thank God for His Mercy!
Also, I don’t like how she compared her marriage to a new Cadillac. Though I understood the gist of what she was trying to say, she must understand that a marriage is nothing like a car – and though a car may be totaled after an accident, a marriage doesn’t have to be (if we choose for it not to be).
She also said something that was very profound. Allow me to share a little bit about myself. At one time (many years ago) I was very easily offended by almost any/everything anyone said/done. I would continue to allow myself to be abused emotionally and verbally. However, I continued to go back just like women who are physically abused by their husbands yet find a way to say “If I just wouldn’t do this, then maybe he wouldn’t do that.” It took years for me to stop and say “why do I allow this to happen to me?” Juanita said “What permitted me to allow it?” If she truly stands on that and seek the Lord for an answer, I believe that He will show her – she may not like what she sees but her deliverance will be sure once she acknowledges the reason.
I pray for the day that she steps away from the spas, makeup lines, etc. and get on her face and allow God to use her as a prophet to the nations for it is there that she is MOST effective.
Oh and one more thing – if she can only tell me what the heck is a “mand of God”!?
Regina,
I can feel the sincerity in your post. I can appreciate also your hope for the restoration of Prophetess Bynum.

I wonder if you wouldn’t mind sharing why you think that she has a ‘true call of a prophet’ on her life? And what does that mean?
Wouldn’t a ‘true prophet’ be one who ’says what God says’ and only that? Can you note anywhere in the Bible where ‘true prophets’ contradicted God and still were accepted as a ‘true prophets’. Isn’t this what a ‘false prophet’ is?
Could you elaborte a bit more on this for me.
Thanks!
@warrenma, you addressed your post to Regina, however my name is Monica.
Anyone who has been called by the Lord has a “true call” of God on their life. The call is true, the call is sure. However, what we choose to do with the call is of a different matter.
I am not here to say what she said was God and what she said was of God but yet contradicted the Word of God. I am not here to call her a false prophet – the Word says, you shall know them by their fruit and that is the plumbline that I use for anyone – be it prophet, teacher, evangelist etc. If God called you for a purpose,, then He doesn’t change His mind. It is usually us that will decide to be disobedient, a fraud, false or genuine. Whichever one chooses, it doesn’t negate the fact that God has called and anointed you. What we choose is what can make us false; however the call of God is not.
