I believe strongly in the adage of “less is more” and in holding down the clutter. As I have mentioned over the past several days, HickTown is being renovated and updated. Complete overhaul.

I am going to check each and every link on my blogroll. If I find a blog abandoned (not being updated) or inactive or no longer in existence, I will go ahead and delete the blog or website. Nothing personal, believe me. If such blogs ever re-activate, I’ll be happy to put them back up.  For me, an inactive/abandoned blog is one that has not been updated by its owner(s) in 3 months or more.

While I am on the subject, from time to time I receive requests from people for me to add them to my blog roll. To be honest with you, most of the blogs on my blogroll are there because my blog alerts me when someone links to me. If I see that someone has added me to their blogroll, and they have a pretty decent site, I’ll add them to mine. However, I will not add a site to the blogroll if that site has content that I am totally against (such as excessive cursing in the articles).
