Even though I am not a faithful supporter of Bynum's ministry, I don't believe any woman deserves the brutal treatment of physical, emotional or psychological violence. The brutality described in the attack leaves me to question how frequently this went on in her life. Pastoral and ministerial violence is as old as marriage it's self and there needs to be more attention drawn to dealing and facing these problems without hiding behind the Bible but instead holding married couples accountable for their actions. I pray that she is real with her self and faces her issues without using the façade of a minister but confront the demons that lead to this assault so that healing can begin. She most definitely should pursue pressing charges to show men that positions and the good ole' boy system used to acquit men of Week's caliber will not supersede the justice demanded for respect of women.
