Update # 21

For the past few weeks I’ve been engaged in an all-call to Bishop Weeks. EARTH TO WEEKS! has been my cry.

Well, it looks like somebody reached him or he came to his senses on his own. He had been contesting the divorce but it was announced on Thursday morning that he will accept the inevitable.

Did you all know that Juanita Bynum had filed for a divorce from him a few years ago in 2005 but dropped the filing? Oh, the skeletons are continuing to emerge. She told Tom Joyner that this was not the first time she had filed for a divorce against the “bishop”.

This marriage has been a shell probably since the beginning. Remember my article…What’s crooked cannot be made straight. That scripture is sooooo true!
Attorneys for a minister accused in an assault on his estranged televangelist wife said he will speak out Friday.

The lawyers said Thomas W. Weeks III had held out hope that he and Juanita Bynum could reconcile even after she filed a petition for divorce on Monday, but now he had decided not to stand in the way.

Instead, they say the case would be submitted as an uncontested divorce and could be resolved within 31 days from the date the case started under Georgia law. source

I know that the bible says that God hates divorce. But you know what else God hates? God hates it when men punch, push, shove, knock down, stomp, and kick women. It’s called abuse and abuse is deadly. Juanita Bynum could have died out there. I don’t blame her. A man would have ONE time to put his hands or his feet on me in a negative way and brotherman would be history. I don’t play that.

Now that Weeks has faced the reality that his gravy train is drying up, perhaps he will also deal with his abuse issues and the charges against him:

Weeks is facing charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats related to an August 21 incident where Bynum claims he choked, pushed and stomped her in a hotel parking lot after the couple failed to reconcile. source
