Bill O’Reilly “gets it” and I appreciate that. He has joined the nationwide cry—started in the blogosphere, about the low-life show that will soon premier on BET called, Hot Ghetto Mess.

There is no secret that there is an ignorant element in the black community. There is no secret that there is a black underclass. Everyone is aware that there is a black subculture.

Black folks who are educated are not trying to trick anyone into thinking that poor, pitiful, uneducated, pathetic blacks don’t exist. Everyone knows that they exist. You see them walking up and down the street every day dressed in jeans hanging off their butts and speaking an unknown [to many] slang language. Of course they exist. In fact, every race has its subculture but they have enough sense not to put them in the spotlight to further embarrass their people.

Educated blacks who have a soul and a conscience are simply saying, black folks have suffered enough humiliation. Do we need to now have yet another show out there to spotlight the low-lifes of the community? They don’t represent me. In fact, the type of person who will appear on Hot Ghetto Mess does not represent any black person I know.

What bothers me the most is that the two people who are responsible for putting the show out there are black. Reginald Hudlin and Jam Donaldson. They are pimping the weakest people in their own culture to make a buck. The type of people who will appear on Hot Ghetto Mess are obviously mentally ill. I saw the Ghetto Mess website and the images are of people who are insane. How else do you explain a bra-less, 180 pound black woman with gigantic, flappy breasts hanging out of her clothes, grinning from ear to ear at the camera? How else do you explain black toddlers holding beer bottles given to them by their parents?

That’s the type of garbage that will be displayed on Hot Ghetto Mess. And my question is—to what end? We already have enough filth on t.v. embarrassing black folks. Look at Jerry Springer. Not only does that brainless show highlight ignorant blacks but it highlights ignorant whites too. To what end? Then we have Maury Povich. Obviously he cannot get a real job so he finds low life blacks to put on his show to spotlight. It’s pathetic.

Whatever happened to the good-ole-days when people had compassion for the less fortunate? There is nothing in the ghetto worth laughing at. The ghetto deserves nothing short of mercy.

Black folks who are educated need to wake up and stop being so passive. These stereotypes of minstrel buck dancing blacks adversely affects those of us who are normal. I’m tired of the image and I’m tired of the stereotypes. Thanks to Bill O’Reilly for his support and understanding in this issue.

Girl, pu-leeze! Who do you think you are fooling? Maury Povich and Jerry Springer have already done what you are about to do.  The truth is, it’s all about money and pimping the less fortunate of your community, and you know it.
