It looks like the McGreevy circus may finally be closing down, now that the divorce is final. New Jersey’s now openly gay former governor Jim McGreevy and Dina Matos McGreevy are finally divorced after a long, drawn out, bitter and very public battle.
Since the McGreevy scandal broke, Matos claimed that she had been deceived by her husband regarding his sexuality and that she had no reason to suspect that he was not a heterosexual male. She even went on to publish a book and make the talk show rounds in which she claimed that she never suspected that her husband was involved with men. During the divorce, Matos demanded $2,500 a month for alimony.
Union County Superior Court Judge Karen Cassidy ruled today that McGreevy does not have to pay his now ex-wife alimony.
Matos’ greed seemed to have gotten the better of her during the divorce proceedings. She had her attorneys subpoena Teddy Pedersen, a former driver and aide to the governor with the apparent hopes that his testimony would help prove her allegations. Instead, Pedersen dropped the embarassing bombshell that he had threesomes with Matos & McGreevy for years. SOURCE
Pedersen, who lives with his girlfriend of several years, said he revealed the sexual shenanigans during the couple’s divorce proceedings only because Dina’s camp subpoenaed him. The former driver said he believes that Dina subpoenaed him as an end-run around her estranged hubby, to see what he would say if he was called on by McGreevey’s side. Pedersen said he believes that Dina never expected him to talk about their trysts.
Matos publicly denied the threesome allegations, while her now ex-husband publicly confessed that the allegations were indeed true. Matos won’t walk away empty handed though.
Dina Matos gets half of the jointly-held investment, checking and other accounts — roughly $210,000 for her. She also gets to keep their Springfield house, as well as her car, which she bought before they were married. SOURCE
Hopefully this circus will keep it movin and we won’t see either of the McGreevys on HickTown again.

ROFL. I hope so too. There was way too much dirty laundry flappin in the breeze for me at this one.
That was a soap opera of incredulous proportions. I don’t know how his ex-wife mustered up the courage to stand next to him as he gave a press conference admitting he was gay. He could not pay me enough money to show up and crack a smile for that event. It seems that Dina was the last to know her man was on the down-low, even though it was common knowledge in his office.
Now look at Miss Thang coming in here using words like “incredulous”.

She apparently could stand there with that blank look according to the former driver and aide because she knew that he had no problem sleeping with men since the 3 of got it poppi’n in the same bed for YEARS. She only pulled the ‘sham’ about how she didn’t know and was duped in my eyes to try and get more money (from that book she wrote, making television appearances and then trying to get some over the top amount of alimony).
I remember when she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and appeared to get tangled up in some of her lies. He was even disputing her regarding her knowledge of his sexuality. Very nervy of her to play the role of the victim, when all the while she was wallowing in filth and committing debauchery right along with him. We are truly in the last days folks!
This kind of reminds me of Terry McMillan’s husband disputing her knowledge of his sexuality as well. I hope I’m not ‘drumming’ them back up.
