70 Old Man Robs Bank To Return “Home” to Prison

This has got to be one of the saddest stories I’ve heard. This reminds me of that movie The Shawshank Redemption. This man has spent the better part of his life incarcerated. He has no family and obviously doesn’t know Jesus, so he felt so alone and desperate that he felt he needed to return to the only thing/place that he knows… PRISON.

Yes, he is institutionalized. Very sad.
I saw this story and it was so sad seeing him at the end of the clip going into what looked like an elevator going to the corner with his face to the wall and head hung down, I thought “how lonely and sad this man must be..”. For a person, anybody, to think of prison as “HOME”, which is what he called it, is heartbreaking. He reminded me of the man in the study Oprah highlighted on her show where the homeless guy was given several thousand dollars and wound up back on the streets, which he said he perferred. People like this have somehow fallen thur the cracks.
