The “111″ area code and blog talk radio
Lynn | July 31, 2009 | 10:00 pm | Blog Talk Radio Interviews | 1 Comment

During my Hicktown radio program today (blog talk radio), my switchboard showed a “111″ area code.

In fact, the number came up as 111-111-1111

??????

I was discussing a serious topic, Black on Black crime. I had one guest and two legitimate, intelligent callers on the line.

To be honest with you, seeing that 111 area code and that odd telephone number caused me to think that a troll was on the line, ready to insult.

Consequently I dropped that call and refused to allow it through.

After the show, I did some research and learned that although that “111″ area code oftentimes disguises annoying callers, there are some positive uses.

For example, if a person is using Skype, the number could come up as “111-111-1111″.

If you are using Skype and called me earlier, feel free to say what you were planning to say here.

In the future, warn me ahead of time that you will call in using an odd area code and/or phone number. I’ll need a heads up. Otherwise, I will drop the call.

Frank Lombard, accused abuser of 5 year old adopted black child, fired by Duke
Lynn | July 30, 2009 | 11:26 pm | Underbellies of Society | 4 Comments

This is a case that should be all over the news. I have covered this story but really have to search for updates. Maggie’s Notebook blog is staying on top of this.

This alleged child abuser/pedophile—Frank M. Lombard, has been fired by Duke Universary:

Duke University has fired an employee who faces federal child sex charges. Frank M. Lombard, 42, of 24 Indigo Creek Trail in Durham, was let go from his position as associate director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke, a spokesman said.

Duke Vice President for Public Affairs Michael Schoenfeld said Lombard was placed on unpaid leave at the time of his arrest June 24 and was fired Monday. Schoenfeld added that the university was cooperating with the investigation.

Lombard faces extradition to Washington, D.C., to face charges that he solicited an adult to have sex with his adopted 5-year-old child.

Sick, sick, sick. The full truth of what those two black boys suffered at the hands of this alleged pervert is unthinkable.

Boston “Officer” Justin Barrett called Gates a porch monkey
Lynn | July 30, 2009 | 10:13 pm | Who you callin' a... | 1 Comment

I would like to pause and give props to the Boston police officers who were man enough and woman enough and humane enough to turn in “officer” Justin Barrett.

To be honest with you, every black person on the streets of Boston are in danger [I believe] at the hands of this individual who views blacks as porch monkeys:

The Boston cop suspended for calling Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates a “banana-eating jungle monkey” in a mass e-mail was turned in by fellow cops.

The revelation that Officer Justin Barrett’s brothers in blue were also revolted by his hateful words came as the police commissioner tried to repair to reputation of Beantown’s police department.

“This type of venomous rhetoric is severely damaging,” Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis declared Thursday. “We will not allow the unacceptable actions of one member to define who we are.”

Davis said he has apologized to Gates on behalf of the department and they are now checking whether Barrett had any run-ins with blacks while on the job.

Would you believe that this vomit spewing creep went so far as to say he is not a racist? Unreal.

The mayor of Boston is working to get him fired and the National Guard has suspended him. For the sake of the safety of the citizens of Boston, I hope the mayor gets his wish.

“Rev.” Ike has met Jesus Christ of Nazareth
Lynn | July 30, 2009 | 4:58 pm | Obituaries | 7 Comments

RevIKE2Myyyy….myyyyy…..myyyy….

Well look whose knees have bowed and whose tongue has confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord!

“Rev.” Ike died yesterday at a young 74. I say young because people are living 90 – 100 years these days.

Look at ole Ike’s philosophy:

“Close your eyes and see green,” Rev. Ike would tell his 5,000 parishioners from a red-carpeted stage at the former Loew’s film palace on 175th Street in Washington Heights, the headquarters of his United Church Science of Living Institute. “Money up to your armpits, a roomful of money and there you are, just tossing around in it like a swimming pool.”

He actually had followers, folks. Notice that he never advised anyone to close their eyes and see Jesus. It was always about the money, wasn’t it?

As he was selling printed money books, I guess he would just laugh and giggle as “silly women”—as the bible calls them, sent in their welfare and social security checks and rent money.  Silly women sending money to a money grabbing, money hungry man who made a living off of finding different ways to scheme on money.  He lived like a king at the expense of fools and idiots.

RevIKE1BUT what does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul to an eternal hell fire? Huh? WHAT does it profit a man?

His exhortation, as quoted by The New York Times in 1972, was a vivid sampling of Rev. Ike’s philosophy, which he variously called “Prosperity Now,” “positive self-image psychology” or just plain “Thinkonomics.”

The philosophy held that St. Paul was wrong; that the root of all evil is not the love of money, but rather the lack of it. It was a message that challenged traditional Christian messages about finding salvation through love and the intercession of the divine. The way to prosper and be well, Rev. Ike preached, was to forget about pie in the sky by and by and to look instead within oneself for divine power.

Keep in mind that “His Grace”, “Prophet” Bernard Jordan is the spokesperson for this family and even announced his death. Keep in mind that Al Sharpton has aligned himself with Bernard Jordan and has him on his show weekly to spew forth “prophesies” that are coming directly from wicked familiar spirits. More now on “Rev. Ike”:

“This is the do-it-yourself church,” he proclaimed. “The only savior in this philosophy is God in you.”

Oooooooh! Say, WHAT? The only savior is the philosophy of God in you? Oh, really?

Well now that Ike’s met Jesus, I would love to know what Jesus had to say about that!

The saddest part about this, of course, is that he KNEW that he was leading people astray.  Trust me, he knew all about Jesus and the truth of the gospel. He grew up the son of a baptist minister, okay?

Now I’ll hush because God knows how to handle His own business.

Donald Kristen Gagnon, Owner of Creekside Tennis Center Arrested, Child Porn
Lynn | July 29, 2009 | 3:19 pm | General | 2 Comments

KrisGagnonI received a tip today from a disgusted Hicktowner who was totally grossed out by the story I am about to share. Check this out:

The owner of Creekside Tennis Center was arrested Monday night and charged with possession of child pornography.

According to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report, Donald Kristen Gagnon, who also goes by the name of Kris Gannon, was arrested at about 8 p.m. after an Internet Crimes Against Children Unit investigation.

Gannon, 60, is also the head tennis professional at the academy, in the 6700 block of 47th Avenue East.

I’ll pause there. What better way to get access to children than to start an academy where you are able to teach tennis lessons or some other sports lessons?

The investigators received information from a local computer repair shop owner that a laptop computer Gannon brought to the store contained images depicting teenage boys posing nude and in their underwear.

The images were posted in a folder titled “students” on the hard drive.

The sheriff’s investigators seized the computer and obtained a search warrant.

After a full examination of the computer files, thousands of pictures of child erotica and children performing or posing in sexually explicit activities were found.

Gannon was being held in the Manatee County jail on $45,000 bond.

Hold up. $45,000 bond? So for $4,500 he can get out of jail, huh? Although he is innocent until proven guilty, I sure would like to hear his explanation of why and how explicit pictures of people’s little boys ended up on his computer.

Whew. I’m starting to itch. Really wish more children would speak up.

What does God mean when He warns, “Come out from among them”
Lynn | July 29, 2009 | 6:24 am | Scripture Illumination | 7 Comments

Curious about your take on it. Who are the “them” that God is warning us to come out from amongst? [ 2 Corin. 6:17]

Because I was not sure what category to put this in, I created a new category called “scripture illumination”. From time to time, I’d like to throw out a scripture and have us examine it. Interesting to hear people’s interpretations.

Below is one preacher’s stirring interpretation:

Father accused of throwing daughter off cliff to avoid child support
Lynn | July 28, 2009 | 11:46 pm | Underbellies of Society | 2 Comments

There is nothing sicker than a parent who murders his/her own child. There have been several reports over the past several weeks of insane parents killing their own children. Just heard of an infant death yesterday that was so sick I refused to post it. Still won’t. It’s off the radar.

But I will post about this character who—according to prosecutors, allegedly threw his child off of a cliff to avoid paying child support:

A father who had no interest in his 4-year-old daughter did the unimaginable – hurling her off a 120-foot cliff to avoid paying child support, a prosecutor said Monday during the man’s murder retrial.

Cameron Brown, 47, was charged with one count of murder and the special circumstance allegations of murder while lying in wait and murder for financial gain in the death of Lauren Sarene Key in November 2000. Brown, a former American Airlines baggage handler, has pleaded not guilty and faces life in prison without parole if convicted.

Deputy District Attorney Craig Hum said during his opening statement that Brown killed Lauren because he didn’t want to pay about $1,000 a month in child support.

Defense attorney Pat Harris countered that it was an accident when the girl fell from Inspiration Point in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Hum portrayed Brown as an uncaring father who tried to shirk his parental responsibility at nearly every turn. After Brown learned the girl’s mother, Sarah Key-Marer, was pregnant with Lauren, he first wanted her to have an abortion and then sought a paternity test that eventually proved he was the father, Hum said.

Sick world we are in, folks!
