No time for following the the “No snitching” rules, folks!  It’s time to get on the nearest telephone and to squeal like a hurt rat.

Our youth are too important to be subjected to shootings and murder over nonsense.

There is a Wild Wild West mentality out there that has black youth afraid to even go to school or stand on a bus stop. And when the thugs are caught, their “peoples” scream and hollar when they are sentenced to life in jail or the death penalty.

Seven people, at least five of them students, were shot Tuesday at a bus stop in Detroit, Michigan, officials said.

Tuesday’s shooting occurred off school property, a Detroit Public Schools spokesman said.

Two of the victims were in critical condition; the others were in serious condition at area hospitals, Police Chief Roderick Grimes said.
“Two perpetrators, possibly three, pulled up in a vehicle, exited their vehicle with weapons, asked for a person by name and then opened fire onto the crowd,” he said.

“They got back in their vehicle and exited the scene.”

Whoa!  Back up!  Those cowards got back in their cars and exited the scene?  if they are so big and bad, why didn’t they stay and face the music?

Approximately 15 minutes after summer school’s 2 p.m. dismissal, the group was at the bus stop at West Warren and Southfield by a gas station when a green minivan pulled up and masked shooters opened fire, according to DPS spokesman Steve Wasko.

Bria Wilson, 15, was waiting for a bus when she heard some guys yell, “There they go” and shots were fired. She said her 16-year-old friend was hit four times and everyone ran away.

“I was standing at the bus stop next to him,” she said. “That bullet came too close. I’m not coming back to this school.”

Black children living in the wild, wild west. This mess would NOT be tolerated in a Jewish community!

I guess it actually works to play crazy, huh? It certain is working for accused murderer, James von Brunn, the broken down 88 year old racist who was shot after allegedly murdering Stephen Tyrone Johns, a security guard who was simply doing his job:

Von Brunn has not had an initial court appearance on charges against him, including first-degree murder and killing while in possession of a firearm in a federal facility.

“Yesterday we received a call from the doctor at the department of corrections saying Mr. von Brunn is not able to appear in court this week,” prosecutor Nicole Waid told the judge during a status hearing Tuesday. “We are not sure about next week.” SOURCE

We are now in day VI of a VII part series of my ode to Michael Jackson.

Today I’ll concentrate on Michael’s pure voice.  After all, he was a prodigy.  He hit notes when he was a little boy that would make one’s hair stand on end.

Michael was a strikingly handsome young man. Yet, he claims his father would tell him that he had a big nose (in a negative way) and say other nasty things to him.

People are strange. Some folks can take negativity, bounce back and move beyond it. Others get stuck there and never overcome.  I’ll never forget Tavis Smiley’s testimony of how he and his sister were humiliated in front of the church when they were children.  Then at home they were beaten to the point of hospitalization due to a lie that was told on them.  Tavis bounced back and did well in life.  His sister ended up on crack.

Marlon Jackson (according to Marlon and Michael) recieved more beatings than did Michael growing up. Yet, Marlon married at 19 and is still married to that same woman.  He is balanced and happy.  Michael on the other hand…..well, I want to stay positive so I won’t even go into how he suffered over the years.

In any event, let’s remember that gorgeous voice!

I’ve been bending over backwards, trying to be positive about Michael Jackson all week. I’ll continue my positivity towards Michael as I offer my daily odes (2 more days to go).

However, Joe Jackson is testing my patience.

Facts about Mr. Jackson:

a. Michael said that the reason he and his siblings call their father Joe is because Mr. Jackson would not allow them to call them “daddy”.

Pause.

Huh?

Sounds like a disassociation to me. A serious detachment. How can a man sire 9 children (10 actually, if you include the one he created out of wedlock) and not want any of them to call him “daddy?”

b. All the Jackson boys admit to being beaten regularly by Mr. Jackson. To be honest with you, those Jackson males are so well behaved and soft spoken that I don’t believe that they needed all those whippings. I really don’t. Marlon said that he was beaten every other day and even Michael discussed how Marlon was regularly beaten by that distant father of theirs.

c. I won’t even get into the horrifying accusations that LaToya Jackson made against her father when she was out of control and living with her abusive husband that her father had introduced her to—primarily because I choose not to believe her. But I’ve never actually gotten those accusations out of my head. I’ll give Joe the benefit of the doubt on that one, though.

This leads me to the last 72 hours.

a. During an interview, Joe said that the world is grieving the world’s greatest superstar. Sounds cold for a father to refer to his recently deceased son that way.

It was not until the next day—after someone apparently said something to him, that he referred to Michael as his son.

b. Oddly, while on the red carpet at BET, he started bragging about a record label that he and a pal have started. HUH! Very inappropriate! He is 80 years old so I don’t anticipate a change. He mentioned that his tears are in his heart rather than in his eyes. Okay, I’ll take that.

In any event, something is strange and unusual about that man. That’s all I’ll say out of respect for the grieving Jacksons and the memory of Michael whom I loved.

Good. Now perhaps Detroit can begin to heal.

Monica Conyers, the chairwoman of the Detroit City Council and wife of House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.), resigned her seat on the Detroit City Council on Monday.
Conyers pleaded guilty Friday to conspiracy to commit bribery in connection with a city sludge-hauling scandal. As a member of the Detroit City Council in 2007, Conyers cast the deciding vote in favor of awarding a $1.2 billion contract to Synagro Technologies Inc.
Conyers is expected to face between three and five years in federal prison.

Michael Jackson’s mother filed a petition Monday in Los Angeles Probate Court seeking legal guardianship of her son’s three children, CNN has confirmed.

A hearing was scheduled for August 3 on Katherine Jackson’s petition.

Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, told CNN on Sunday evening that he and his wife expected to keep the children.

“We’re not trying to get custody,” Jackson said. “We will get custody and have custody.”

GREAT NEWS! Criminal, Bernie Madoff just received 150 years. I was actually hoping for 200 years, but I’ll accept the 150. LOL! He was asking for 11 years. Can you believe that?

A federal judge sentenced Bernard Madoff, the convicted mastermind of the largest and most sweeping Ponzi scheme ever, to the maximum sentence of 150 years in federal court Monday.

Judge Denny Chin of U.S. District Court in New York announced the sentence just moments after Madoff apologized to his victims.

Chin said the maximum sentence was important for deterrence, and also for the victims, many of whom erupted into applause after the judge announced the sentence. Many hugged and some of them broke down in tears.

Shortly before he received his sentence, Madoff offered an apology.

“I live in a tormented state for all the pain and suffering I created,” he said. “I left a legacy of shame. It is something I will live with for the rest of my life.”

Turning to face some of his victims, Madoff addressed them directly: “Saying I’m sorry is not enough. I turn to face you. I know it will not help. I’m sorry.”

Madoff said he was not asking for forgiveness and not offering any excuses for his behavior.

“How can you excuse betraying thousands of investors?” he asked. “How can you excuse deceiving hundreds of employees? How can you excuse lying to and deceiving your wife who still stands by you?”

Victims had urged the judge to dole out the stiffest punishment possible. “We implore you to give the maximum sentence at a maximum prison for this deplorable low life,” said one of the victims in court before Madoff spoke. “This is a violent crime without a tangible weapon.”

His apology is FAKE. WHERE IS THE MONEY, BERNIE?

I have what I believe is some great news to report. Keep in mind that I’m a conservative so my more liberal and moderate readers might very well disagree with me.

The U.S. Supreme Court sided Monday with white firefighters in a workplace discrimination lawsuit, a divisive case over the role race should play in job advancement.

That’s some of the best news ever for blacks, and I’ll tell you why. White folks are sick of us and they view themselves as carrying us. They want us off their sickly and desperate backs by any means necessary—quick and in a hurry.

White folks are suffering in many arenas. They are graduating from Ivy League schools and finding themselves unable to get a job because employers cannot afford to pay them their worth. They are being fired. Many are losing their homes. The last thing they want to hear is a problem that a black person is having and I actually understand that.

Yes, slavery set us back. Yes, Jim Crow devastated us. We had no control over those issues. But let me tell you what we do control. We control the here and now.

I took my black behind to school — Baltimore City schools no doubt. Received an outstanding education and chose to go to college. I went to college and took out student loans as well as grants and scholarships. Earned my B.S. degree. Took a year off and worked and returned to college on a fellowship. Earned my Masters of Science degree.

Had to pass a national examination in my field of study in order to practice. I took it, passed it and was certified and licensed. Had I not passed that national exam, I would never have been certified.

I’m proud to say that I passed that examination based on intellect and the knowledge that I gained via attending classes and studying. No allowances were made based on me being black. Either I knew the information or I did not.

Black folks are smart. We don’t need crutches. In fact, those crutches make us look stupid. Every time a black person achieves, it is said, “Oh affirmative action got him/her in”. Yeah, right!

Well, let us get rid of all forms of affirmative action, shall we?

In the split 5-4 vote, a majority of the justices ruled that the city of New Haven, Connecticut, improperly threw out the results of promotional exams that officials said left too few minorities qualified.
One Latino and no African-American firefighters qualified for promotion based on the exam; the city subsequently decided not to certify the results and issued no promotions.

A group of 20 mostly white firefighters sued, claiming reverse discrimination.

Time to sink or swim, black folks! Whitie is having his own issues and he is sick of black folks. Those middle class white firefighters need their promotions and they earned them. Why should the black folks who did not study—or who don’t have the knowledge, move ahead of those who did study? Besides, would you want a person who does not have the knowledge showing up at your door to deal with a fire? I’d rather have someone with skill and knowledge.

In a dissent read from the bench, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg questioned the fairness of the test, which was 60 percent written and 40 percent oral.

“Relying so heavily on pencil-and-paper exams to select firefighters is a dubious practice,” Ginsburg said, calling the majority ruling “troubling.”

“Congress endeavored to promote equal opportunity in fact, and not simply in form. The damage today’s decision does to that objective is untold,” she said.

Oh, please! As usual, I do not agree with Justice Ginsburg. She mentioned pencil and paper exams. Um….are black folks unable in her opinion to read and write? And then she mentioned that 40% of the exam was oral. Again, if you know the answers, SPEAK THE ANSWER. Otherwise, step back.

Black people are intelligent. We are brilliant. Take away the pacifier, force us to be who we are and watch us shine!

Twitter really has something on its hands with some of its abusers.  I just received the following Twitter invite from a clearly disturbed person whose initials are MF843. I won’t give her full Twitter name because she’s obviously seeking attention:

My boyfriend treats me like s*** so I need someone else to treat me right and f*** me well.

The first time she contacted me, I ignored her. It was clear that she had nothing to say but at least she was not being vulgar. This time I blocked her.

And that’s something I do like about Twitter. You can block a person right away, upon them contacting you.

I want to alert everyone that you need to be careful to select who you will follow and who you will allow to follow you. I’ve blocked many individuals.

Never follow someone on Twitter just because they are following you. The goals should never be to just keep accepting followers so that you can have a million followers, for example. Some people are so weird that you should not even want them following you on Twitter or anywhere else.

When I get the opportunity, I plan to engage in a Twitter cleansing. I will go through and “unfollow” some of the people I’ve been following because I find I have no interest in their comments.

Some people talk constantly on Twitter and it amounts to drivel and nonsense. They have an audience. Twitter really attracts attention whores. But now that the novelty has worn off for me, I plan to be more and more selective regarding who I will follow and who I will allow to follow me.
