The Body of Christ has lost a GIANT, everyone and I for one am very upset. Many of you have probaby never heard of Dottie Rambo BUT you HAVE heard her anointed music!

Joyce “Dottie” Rambo, an influential gospel singer and songwriter, died early Sunday when her tour bus ran off the highway and struck an embankment. She was 74.

This is a big one, everyone and I KNOW this woman is with Jesus at this moment.

“I know Dottie is in heaven in the arms of God right now, but our earth angel will surely be missed,” Parton said in a statement. “Dottie was a dear friend, a fellow singer, songwriter and entertainer, and as of late my duet singing partner.”

Rambo was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame last year and the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

Rambo has had more than 2,500 published songs, including gospel classics such as “He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need” and the 1982 Gospel Music Association Song of the Year, “We Shall Behold Him.”

I am so upset this evening and it reminds us of the fragility of life. Wow! But through all this, God is God and He is King of Kings! Thank You, Lord Jesus. She is SAFE in your arms! Thanks for using her to bring forth such HEALING, anointed songs. This is painful but I just thank God.

I pray the peace upon her family that ONLY the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ brings. That woman’s songs have comforted me more times than I can recall but it was not her…it was the Holy Ghost working through her. Wow….I’ll just stop because I’m just hurt right now.

  LOL! The gangsta-wanna be Suge Knight has a horrible reputation. I am so sorry that the late rapper Tupac got himself tied up with that character. Trouble and negativity follows the ignorant Suge everywhere he goes. He’s trouble.

I truly hope that you all are visiting the other neighborhoods adjacent to HickTown. They can be found on my “blogroll”. I’m picky about who I hand-pick to join our neighborhood, so if they are on the blogroll, know that they are good. In short, please visit, lurk and/or sign those blogs. Support our neighbors!

One such neighbor is Michael Fisher. He’s more liberal. I’m a conservative. He is either a democrat or an independent. I’m a registered republican (who is actually an independent at heart, as I OFTEN vote the democratic ticket!). I purposely registered as a republican to make the statement to democrats that they must EARN my vote. This black woman’s vote is not in their pocket!

Anyhoo…..Michael and I are different, but isn’t that great? Life would be boring if we were all alike.  I can say the same about my other “brother” and close neighbor, David from UnderCoverBlackMan blog. I’m sure that his politics overall are quite different from mine, but we are able to “reason together”.  And my reasonable black republican mind tells me that a brother named Barack Obama, a liberal democrat, deserves this black conservative woman’s vote.  In a future blog, I’ll take my time and outline the reasons.

While taking my daily neighborhood stroll through  Michael Fisher’s blog  neighborhood(Assault on Black Sanity), I saw this OUTSTANDING video from Saturday Night Live which sums up exactly what has been happening in the election and encapsulates Hillary’s mindset.

Hats off to the school on this one.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (May 10) - School and law enforcement officials have told a St. Joseph man that he can’t attend his son’s eighth-grade graduation because he is a convicted sex offender and isn’t allowed on school property.

James Jones, 36, said he may go anyway although the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department has told him he would be arrested and face up to four years in prison.

“I’ve already been punished for this. This isn’t about me anymore. Now they’re punishing my kids, and that’s taking it a little too far,” said Jones, who served five years in prison after being convicted in 1990 of raping a 15-year-old girl when he was 17.

The School Superintendent disagrees and says…

“If I start deciding which offenders can and cannot be at school, then I become the judge. And it is not my position to judge a case. The courts have already done that,” said St. Joseph School District Superintendent Melody Smith. “My job is to provide the safekeeping of 11,632 students and the people who attend our events.”

Smith said she’s denied requests by five offenders, four of whom visited her office.

“Half of them have been extremely sad about the decision, and half of them have been rudely angry,” she said.  SOURCE

The Board of Education is also backing the School Superintendent.  In this day and age, you can never be too careful. Hopefully this man who supposedly takes education so seriously will educate his son about the lifelong stigma one faces as a sex offender after having sex with an underage female.

I don’t want to see any human being in hell but that woman appears to be fighting hard to get there. Only God has a Heaven and hell to put us in, so I won’t take over His job and say where she is going. Hillary Clinton is steadily losing Super Delegate support as more and more of her former supporters switch to Obama’s side:

Barack Obama has overtaken Hillary Rodham Clinton in superdelegate endorsements for the first time.

Obama picked up four superdelegate endorsements, including two from the Virgin Islands who had previously endorsed Clinton. The additions erased Clinton’s once-imposing lead among the party and elected officials who will automatically attend the party’s national convention this summer.
