Cults Parts III, IV, & V

August 31, 2007

I’m going to condense the next three “cult” articles into one:

The cult’s leaders tend to be charismatic, determined, and domineering - They persuade followers to drop their families, jobs, careers, and friends to follow them. They (not the individual) then take over control of their followers’ possessions, money, lives.

The cult’s leaders are self-appointed, messianic persons who claim to have a special mission in life-For example, the flying saucer cult leaders claim that people from outer space have commissioned them to lead people to special places to await a space ship. The cult’s leaders center the veneration of members upon themselves - Priests, rabbis, ministers, democratic leaders, and leaders of genuinely altruistic movements keep the veneration of adherents focused on God, abstract principles, and group purposes. Cult leaders, in contrast, keep the focus of love, devotion, and allegiance on themselves.

Think about some of the church cults that you are aware of. Notice that money is almost always at the forefront of their topics of discussion? In fact, it appears that money is generally the bottom line. A woman I know often jokes about the time that her husband told here, “You are going to have to go find a second job just to pay tithes and offerings there”. For her, it was a wakeup call. And as she opened her eyes, it appeared to her that she was in something akin to a cult.

They were sucking her finances dry as the leader sported her minks and rode around in limousines. My friend said she left after the pastor looked at her (my friend was wearing a mink) and the pastor said, “Humpf…anybody can afford a fur these days!”

The reason cults want to separate members from their families is because they know that families can see through the smokescreen and no cult leader wants his/her followers to see the light. They want to keep their members bound and blind, totally devoted and focused in on the leader.

I’ve written about child molester, Gerald Griffith. One of his former members recently told me that Griffith made an effort to have all of his ministers make him the focus of their sermons. When the member (who was a minister) confronted him about it, Griffith ran the man out of church and re-focused on having the ministers preach about his greatness. All this was going on out front as he was behind closed doors assaulting and sodomizing children.

I remember reading a magazine that his church produced. Not one word was uttered about Jesus. The entire magazine was focused in on the “Apostle”, a perverted pedophile.

I’ll end this segment by showing you all a clip of Jim Jones and Jonestown. It highlights the boldly demonic Jim Jones as he tells a brainwashed, insane group that they need to “lay down their lives”. One lone woman stood up to try to negotiate for her life. Check out how paranoid and crazy Jones was. The woman kept talking about escaping into Russia. She was desperate to live. The church members agreed with him and clapped. He told the woman, “Christine, without me, your life has no meaning” and the members yelled, “That’s right!” as they cursed “Christine” out!

Church Cults: Part II

August 31, 2007

I have started an in depth discussion of cults due to the fact that so many churches have now taken on a cult-like stance. In Part I of this series, I listed eight common properties  of cults  and in Part II, I am going to discuss the first property:

Property #1 - The cult is authoritarian in its power structure

The leader is regarded as the supreme authority. He or she may delegate certain power to a few subordinates for the purpose of seeing that members adhere to the leaders wishes and roles. There is no appeal outside of his or her system to greater systems of justice. For example, if a school teacher feels unjustly treated by a principal, appeals can be made. In a cult, the leader claims to have the only and final ruling on all matters.

Ego Tripping

What happens in the church-type cults in particular, is that the “pastor”, who is on a power and ego trip, decides that s/he has all the answers and will “share” those answers with those who follow, at a financial price of course. They want you to empty out your wallet onto the podium, collection plate, etc.

In churches, the members are a captive audience, so the pastor is able to truly influence those who are weak minded, thus brainwashing them to embrace everything the pastor says or does.

The pastor usually starts off by telling the congregation that s/he alone has the “revelation” on a certain topic because God only showed it to him/her. That pastor then makes the gullible members feel special since they are the first in the universe to hear this unique gospel. Surely their pastor must be on God’s good list!

If you watch the ministers on various religious programs, you will see a parade of “apostles”, “bishops”, “pastors”, “prophets” and “ministers” ego tripping across the stage with a microphone in hand, telling you about some new scripture interpretation and revelation that God gave specifically to them. And of course, they are kind enough to share it with you!

Scripture Illumination

If gullible folks would simply open their bibles, they would see in 2 Peter 1:20 that, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy or scripture is of any private interpretation”.

Of course God can and will illuminate a scripture for a person in leadership because clearly God does want pastors to teach the flock. However, God won’t be giving any private interpretations to anybody.

And so the gullible little sheep in the congregation just eat up everything the pastor teaches and accepts the more bizarre teachings as secret or special revelations that were given to the pastor by God.

Pimp Daddy

The appreciative sheep starts to call the pastor “daddy” or “mother” or some other pet name. Young children eat up everything their parents teach them without question. That’s understandable in a young child. But those grown church members take on the child like quality of complete trust without question.

In this stage of brainwashing, the church member starts to see that pastor or leader as their “spiritual father or mother” in spite of the fact that no place in the bible is a spiritual father or mother listed. Jesus is our spiritual Father!

The cult pastor becomes gleeful, knowing that s/he “owns” those who remain under his/her spell. They have a captive audience willing to listen to their false doctrines and made up fairy tales and who are willing to love them unconditionally. Wow, what a power trip.

Stay tuned for Part III, where I will discuss the charisma of certain pastors/leaders and how they use it to their advantage.

Common Properties of CULTS

August 31, 2007

I plan to write a series on cults because I find that many churches today are starting to behave and/or look like cults.

I’ll kick this series off by first sharing some background information on cults.   SOURCE

Common Properties of Potentially Destructive

 and Dangerous Cults

The cult is authoritarian in its power structure

The leader is regarded as the supreme authority. He or she may delegate certain power to a few subordinates for the purpose of seeing that members adhere to the leader’s wishes and roles. There is no appeal outside of his or her system to greater systems of justice. For example, if a school teacher feels unjustly treated by a principal, appeals can be made. In a cult, the leader claims to have the only and final ruling on all matters.

The cult’s leaders tend to be charismatic, determined, and domineering

They persuade followers to drop their families, jobs, careers, and friends to follow them. They (not the individual) then take over control of their followers’ possessions, money, lives.

The cult’s leaders are self-appointed, messianic persons who claim to have a special mission in life

For example, the flying saucer cult leaders claim that people from outer space have commissioned them to lead people to special places to await a space ship.

The cult’s leaders center the veneration of members upon themselves

Priests, rabbis, ministers, democratic leaders, and leaders of genuinely altruistic movements keep the veneration of adherents focused on God, abstract principles, and group purposes. Cult leaders, in contrast, keep the focus of love, devotion, and allegiance on themselves.

The cult tends to be totalitarian in its control of the behavior of its members

Cults are likely to dictate in great detail what members wear, eat, when and where they work, sleep, and bathe-as well as what to believe, think, and say.

The cult tends to have a double set of ethics

Members are urged to be open and honest within the group, and confess all to the leaders. On the other hand, they are encouraged to deceive and manipulate outsiders or nonmembers. Established religions teach members to be honest and truthful to all, and to abide by one set of ethics.

The cult has basically only two purposes, recruiting new members and fund-raising

Established religions and altruistic movements may also recruit and raise funds. However, their sole purpose is not to grow larger; such groups have the goals to better the lives of their members and mankind in general. The cults may claim to make social contributions, but in actuality these remain mere claims, or gestures. Their focus is always dominated by recruiting new members and fund-raising.

The cult appears to be innovative and exclusive

The leader claims to be breaking with tradition, offering something novel, and instituting the only viable system for change that will solve life’s problems or the world’s ills. While claiming this, the cult then surreptitiously uses systems of psychological coercion on its members to inhibit their ability to examine the actual validity of the claims of the leader and the cult.

I plan to write a separate article on each of the eight properties. Stay tuned!

Busted! Wrestlers Accused of Ordering/Using Steroids!

August 31, 2007
World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended 10 of its most popular stars for violations of a policy that tests for steroids and other drugs, the US company said. Link

Oh, no! I’ll admit that my husband has gotten me interested in “professional” wrestling. It’s a soap opera really of men and women who sort of grow on you. There are good guys and bad guys, good girls and bad girls. Always a corny or funny or suspenseful story line. And if you enjoy wrestling, the wrestlers truly are talented.

National news is not actually revealing the names of the 10 suspended wrestlers. BUT…you are in HickTown, aren’t you? And you KNOW that HickTown gets our news either before everyone else or close to it!

Here are the names that The NY Daily News revealed:

Randy Orton, Charles Haas, Adam “Edge” Copeland, Robert “Booker” Huffman, Shane Helms, Mike “Simon Dean” Bucci, Anthony “Santino Marella” Carelli, John “Morrison” Hennigan, Darren “William Regal” Matthews, Ken “Kennedy” Anderson and Chavo Guerrero.

- Later this evening, ESPN named more superstars that were clients of Signature Pharmacy. The names ESPN revealed are:

Shoichi Funaki, Dave “Batista” Bautista, Chris “Masters” Mordetsky in addition to Edge, Morrison and Helms who were previously mentioned.

- Around 7PM this evening, The New York Daily News updated its article adding Eddie “Umaga” Fatu to the list of clients for Signature Pharmacy. SI.com also issued a detailed list of WWE superstars receiving shipments of drugs which you can read here on the site.

Bishop Thomas Weeks - Court Case in Maryland

August 30, 2007

This information is an exclusive - you saw it here first!

I am holding in my hand information from the public records here in Maryland. Since Bishop Thomas Weeks once lived in Maryland, I wanted to know if he had ever been locked up on any charges in the past.

The public records only show civil court case information. Apparently he has never been arrested in Maryland.

He has been in and out of court for the past year with a company called Recovar Group, LLC.

They are suing him and the amount listed is $16,790.27. The lawyer covering the case is Linda Aikens.

I’ve looked over these documents carefully (but I’m not a lawyer). That same company filed a complaint against him in September, 2006 for $17,179.06 but the case was dismissed by the court on December 22, 2006 (wow, what a nice Christmas gift, huh?)

Apparently the Recovar Group, LLC was not willing to just take a hit of that nature so they filed on April 20, 2007 and the claim type was listed as “contract”. I am not clear as to whether or not Recover is suing on their own behalf or on someone else’s behalf because they appear to be a collection agency (but I’m not certain).

I’ll continue to check the public record for updates. But I have a question. Bishop Weeks had had a notice on his website asking for donations to his “Raven” fund, apparently to pay for his legal defense. In record time, that notice was taken down. Do you think that his  church members actually footed that bill? If so, they emptied out their pockets quickly!

UPDATE - 8/30/07 - One of my readers, “Ginny” sent me a link to Fox in Georgia. They dug deeper and were able to get to the specifics of the creditors that Bishop Weeks owes. I can’t help but wonder if Fox got the idea to look into his finances from reading my blog!

Controversy: Sculptor, Lei Yixin to Sculpt MLK Monument

August 29, 2007

The selection of a Chinese sculptor (Lei Yixin) to carve a three-story monument to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on the National Mall is creating a split over just what part of King’s legacy should be celebrated. source

First of all, very few blacks are aware that a King Monument is being built or even that funds are being raised for it. There has not been much press about it that I know of. I learned about it by listening to Al Sharpton’s radio program.

A loose-knit but growing group of critics is charging that a black artist - or at least an American - should have been chosen to create the King memorial between the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials in the nation’s capital. They have been joined by human rights advocates who say King would have abhorred the Chinese government’s record on religious and civil liberty.

“They keep saying King was for everyone. I keep telling people, ‘No, King wasn’t for everyone. King was for fairness and justice,’” said Gilbert Young, a black painter from Atlanta who has launched a Web site and a petition drive to try to change the project.

“I believe that black artists have the right to interpret ourselves first,” Young said. “If nobody steps up to the plate to do that, then certainly pass it along to someone else.” source

Part of the controversy stems not only from the fact that a Chinese man has been chosen by a majority black committee to create the sculpture, but also, this artist is well known in China for his sculptures of the communist leader, Mao Zedong.

Designated a master sculptor by the Chinese government, Lei   is one of nine artists in the field considered national treasures in China. He has carved monuments to many of the country’s national figures, including Mao Zedong, father of communist China.   source

Sculpter Gilbert Young has on his website information regarding a petition to sign to try to halt the decision for Lei to create the sculpture:

King is OUR national treasure. We will not have an artist famous for his statues of the murderer Mao Tse Dung, and tool of a government that labeled King a “reactionary running dog,” sculpting the King Monument. Would we allow an artist famous for his statues of Hitler to sculpt Ann Frank? Combine these facts with another: There is not ONE national monument to a leader of any country anywhere on this planet with the name of an African American artist on its base. source

I don’t know. Gilbert obviously believes that a black person should create the sculpture of the King Monument. What do you all think? Does race matter in this?

Leona Helmsley’s Dog Receives a Good Chunk of Her Money

August 29, 2007

Are you all as ready for some comic relief as I am? I OWE this to my faithful HickTown residents! You all are going to love me for this! The will of the “Queen of Mean”, Leona Helmsley has been released and she has left a great deal to her dog and zero to her own grandchildren!

Leona Helmsley’s dog will continue to live an opulent life, and then be buried alongside her in a mausoleum. But two of Helmsley’s grandchildren got nothing from the late luxury hotelier and real estate billionaire’s estate. Helmsley left her beloved white Maltese, named Trouble, a $12 million trust fund, according to her will, which was made public Tuesday in surrogate court.

She also left millions for her brother, Alvin Rosenthal, who was named to care for Trouble in her absence, as well as two of four grandchildren from her late son Jay Panzirer — so long as they visit their father’s grave site once each calendar year.

Otherwise, she wrote, neither will get a penny of the $5 million she left for each.

Helmsley left nothing to two of Jay Panzirer’s other children — Craig and Meegan Panzirer — for “reasons that are known to them,” she wrote.

But no one made out better than Trouble, who once appeared in ads for the Helmsley Hotels, and lived up to her name by biting a housekeeper.

“I direct that when my dog, Trouble, dies, her remains shall be buried next to my remains in the Helmsley mausoleum,” Helmsley wrote in her will. Source

Trouble made out like a fat rat, huh? I’m certain that during times when Trouble heard Leona fussing and arguing with her grandchildren, the little bitch…um, female dog, would smirk to herself while thinking, Go on and argue with her, idiots!  Each argument that you win means more doggy toys, doggy jewelry, doggy outfits, doggy bones and doggy biscuits for me if and when the old, mean coot finally passes away.

Go on Trouble, with your bad self! She certainly has taught me a lesson. There are times when it’s best to just let granny win the argument!

Bishop Thomas Weeks Is Accused of Beating Another Woman as Skeletons Emerge

August 29, 2007

 Update #13

I happened to visit the blog of Independent Conservative  and was quite surprised, or maybe not, to see that two of Bishop Weeks’ followers had come forward (feeling guilty) to discuss his alleged abuse towards a woman who works in his office SOURCE.

I blogged about the incident HERE but did not yet have a video to show you. At least I guess it’s the same incident!

It is interesting that his two followers sat there [in the video] and admitted that in spite of seeing bruises on the woman’s neck and seeing the woman crying hysterically, they–along with Juanita Bynum, talked the woman out of pressing charges! The woman had reported that Weeks had actually “body slammed” her to the floor.

Had Juanita not cloaked her husband’s dirt, maybe he could have gotten some help and she would not have ended up being beaten and stomped like a common street walker.

I am not surprised that his followers talked the woman out of pressing charges.

I’ve been saying for the past three days that I’m having serious problems blocking Bishop Weeks’ followers from posting their insane, cultish JUNK on this blog. They have slithered around here like foul snakes and this is their modus operandi:

His cult-like followers do the following:

a. They slither onto the blog and pay either me or various readers a fake compliment to get in good graces

b. They then start to “preach” about not judging and about “praying for Weeks”

c. They quickly point out that they don’t agree with him beating his wife

d. They start making excuses for his behavior

e. They insinuate that Minister Bynum provoked and deserved the attack

f. Like demons, they then start to insult “HickTown” visitors or administrator (me)

g.  They attempt to shame me or intimidate me (on my own blog!) into becoming silent

I’ve started blocking their comments. Those women are WICKED

But the fish stinks from the head down, doesn’t it?

Check out this video of the nail polish wearing “Bishop” Weeks’ court date, where he is being accused of kicking Minister Bynum in her vagina as he tells her, “I’ll kill you, bitch!” Video

This case is also being discussed by OverAnalyzeIt

Sen. Larry Craig: A Love Affair With Toilet Stalls?

August 28, 2007

Someone, anyone, please explain to me why a married man with three adult children who is pushing 70 years of age is hanging around dirty bathrooms trying to pick up strange men?

According to the prosecutor’s complaint, obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press, airport police Sgt. Dave Karsnia, who was investigating allegations of sexual conduct in airport restrooms, went into a stall shortly after noon on June 11 and closed the door.

Minutes later, the officer saw Craig gazing into his stall through the crack between the stall door and the frame, fidgeted with his fingers and returned to gazing through the stall for about another two minutes.

After a man in the adjacent stall flushed the toilet and left, Craig entered it and put his roller bag against the front of the stall door, “which Sgt. Karsnia’s experience has indicated is used to attempt to conceal sexual conduct by blocking the view from the front of the stall,” said the complaint, which was dated June 25.

The complaint said Craig then tapped his right foot several times and moved it closer to Karsnia’s stall and then moved it into the area of the officer’s stall to where it touched Karsnia’s foot. Karsnia recognized that “as a signal often used by persons communicating a desire to engage in sexual conduct,” the complaint said.

Source

Apparently alleged perverts such as Sen. Craig have no concerns about the various diseases he could pick up and pass on to his wife. Parents, this is the primary reason why you must never send a boy under age 10 into a male bathroom alone. If he goes in there, OPEN THE DOOR and wait for him to come back out! To many sickos hang out in men’s restrooms. Ush!

Craig then passed his left hand under the stall divider into Karsnia’s stall with his palms up and guided it along the divider toward the front of the stall three times, the complaint said.

The officer then showed his police identification under the divider and pointed toward the exit “at which time the defendant exclaimed `No!,’ ” the complaint said.

The Aug. 8 police report says that Craig had handed the arresting officer a business card that identified him as a member of the Senate.

“What do you think about that?” Craig is alleged to have said, according to the report.

Would you believe that this weirdo is actually denying guilt now and saying that he only pleaded guilty to expedite the case? Hmmm….Maybe he was actually hanging around that bathroom because he is obsessed with stalls?

Well, I’ve been forced to issue yet another “Exploding Balls” award. Sen. Craig, your balls may be tainted with femininity but you sure have plenty of them. Gee

Special Dedication to Bishop Weeks & his Followers

August 28, 2007

I’ve been receiving messages from Bishop Weeks’ followers. They have accused me of giving Juanita Bynum the benefit of the doubt and all my love, while showing no mercy for Bishop Weeks. They claim that I’m actually “sarcastic” towards his followers and that I show his followers no love.

Who, me? Sarcastic?  Noooooooo!  Not moi.

Okay, so anyway.   I have a special gift for Weeks and his  followers.

Thomas Weeks claimed that the “devil” went down to Georgia and caused him to allegedly stomp, kick in the private parts, and generally beat down his wife who ended up in the hospital.

With that in mind, here is a special dedication. It’s called “The devil Went Down to Georgia”   PRESS HERE

Hopefully this will put an end to the accusations that I’m not being fair.
